Yeti vibes!
2016 2.0d 4x4, 97k miles. A vibration and whine over the last 12 months getting worse. It is synchronous with road speed and worst between 40 and 60 mph. No degradation felt when turning, no knocking noises either so not thinking wheel bearings or cv’s. My feeling was rear prop shaft coupling so I changed it today (a pig of a job on the drive with ramps!). Unfortunately, even though the old rubber coupling showed signs of wear the vibration is still the same. Anyone have pointers to where else it might be? ….and is changing the front coupler or centre support any easier than the rear one?

Weird electric window fault - swapped over!
A really weird one on the Mk1 Fabia (52 plate) yesterday. There have been occasional central locking issues for a few years (randomly locks/unlocks while driving) but yesterday the front rlectric windows swapped over….the left button openi g the right wi dow and the right button opening the left. Today, it is back to normal! Anyone seen this or can throw any light on it?

yeti 2016 drivers door replacement
Doh....my wife just had a prang in the yeti in a car park....a concrete pillar "jumped out" and wrecked the front wing and drivers door. I just fitted a front wing (not difficult really) and even the colour match is good. I've just ordered a door the right colour too, from the breakers. Is there anything I need to look out for when swapping these over, or is it pretty straight-forward? Lots of vids on youtube about door cards but nothing on swapping the entire door..... Thanks!

Battery sensor wire routing?
I did exactly that! I resoldered it back into fuse 10 and tied it in as neatly as I could. No faults anymore. Thanks for your amazing help on this one!

Battery sensor wire routing?
Ok, all faults now clear down after running live feed to pin 6 so it is a break in the engine bay somewhere! Just need to find somewhere neat to tie this in to now……

Battery sensor wire routing?
Ok am into scuttle now, and removed wiper motor. How does to cover come off the firewall? Do not want to wreck it……BTW, scuttle area full of wet rotting leaves…..blew out with airline!

Battery sensor wire routing?
Thanks. Already checked under bonnet, everything very clean!

Battery sensor wire routing?
Thanks for the tips….I have a few different pullers so should be able to adapt something to suit!

Battery sensor wire routing?
Thanks for your help so far. I think I will have to pull the scuttle panel off tomorrow and check at the firewall. Not been in there before so on a 20 year old motor who knows what may be lurking…..

Battery sensor wire routing?
Would you be able to share the relevant wiring diag? Will have to pick up tomorrow, goind dark and just got rained on!

Battery sensor wire routing?
ok, I disconnected battery and rang fuse 10 to pin 5….its o/c!

Battery sensor wire routing?
Hmmm….battery connected, ignition on, plug still pulled out pins 5 to 8 no volts….

Battery sensor wire routing?
Sorry, my mistake. Yes, it rings though fine to pin 8…..

Battery sensor wire routing?
Brilliant info….am on it. Fuse 10 was fine…..this is my module….trying to find a long wire to ring it through…..

Battery sensor wire routing?
Yes, It is a Fabia Mk1 2002 1.4mpi, in comfort trim

Battery sensor wire routing?
My ECS light is on, and VCDS displays error 01598 - drive battery voltage -27-00 spurious signal. The fault returns immediately after clearing. The battery is quite new and fully charged. I suspect the thin black sensor wire from the battery negative is open-circuit somewhere. There are no additional errors with this disconnected. I remade the connection at the battery end. Does anyone know where this wire goes so I can track it out? It disappears into a complicated trunking underneath the battery box…..

2016 EU6 2.0 diesel - error 2002 and question about models with twin egrs and coolers
Thanks for the link. That is really helpful! Mine is a generation after that I think.....quite similar, but there isn't a single G505 it has a pair....... and some of the components at the back look a bit different. Really useful to know how it is all intended to work though!

2016 EU6 2.0 diesel - error 2002 and question about models with twin egrs and coolers
So I have been getting 2002 dpf low efficiency messages for a while, even though only 74k miles on the clock. It does quite a bit of around town driving which will not have helped things. The first message i got was a dodgy diff pressure sensor. This model has a pair of these and so i swapped both and ran the necessary adaptations in VCDS. I still get the 2002 errors, even though the car takes a regen just fine, reporting low soot. Apparently, the 2002 error can be caused by the egr cooler becoming blocked. Hence when the exhaust flap closes and egr opens you get a high backpressure. Today, I got another egr and cooler on ebay, and bit the bullet. It was a pig of a job but I swapped out the rear egr and cooler units although disappointingly the one that came out looked pretty clean. This model also has a second egr and cooler mounted at the front of the engine. Does anyone understand the functioning of this? When doing the rear egr and cooler swap-out, I did notice that with the engine off the rear egr is closed but the front egr is open. Is this correct? Anyway, sorry for the rambling post, but I am running out of ideas now and the 2002 error comes back a few days after cleaning/regen. I have some JML cleaning fluids coming in tomorrow and will try an in-depth dpf clean. Short of that, I am out of ideas.....maybe some kind of electrical fault????

Error p2452 after replacing diff press switches
yep, down to 8g after forced regen
-
Error p2452 after replacing diff press switches
Yes, they are analogue outputs (0-5v) not switches). I am also now of the opinion that these do not need adaptation! All a bit confusing in the online manuals though as they still mention adaptation!

Error p2452 after replacing diff press switches
It is not there under Adaptations, and as I said the Coding-11 button is greyed out. Weirdly, I just checked it out with Worth (a friendly RAC tech did it for me) and the diff press adaptation is not available there either. My engine is a CUUB 2015/2016 crossover and has 2 diff pressure switches not one. Checking measured values now, they all seem plausible with engine off/on and minimal offset? I think if the light comes on again I will replace both switches with proper VW ones. You just do not expect a replacement switch to be duff! All good now, fingers crossed!

Error p2452 after replacing diff press switches
Yes, but the ‘Coding -11’ button is greyed out!
