Got my brand new octavia vrs on 1st March. It's on a dsg box. No problem driving in automatic however I have no idea how to use paddles for manual. I've read book and totally confused, I don't even know what position to put lever in. I. E park, neutral, etc. Not to good with this kinda stuff guys so if someone could give it to me really simple you make old man happy..

That's great thanks for your help. I'm just trying figure out how to hardwire my dash cam when it comes, seems pretty straightforward but not sure what fuse to put it to. If I use one that folks are saying then I think this means my parking mode won't work.. Going through forum now.. Thanks.

I'm just outside Dornoch mate, my 2 options would be Arnold Clark or Howco. Both Inverness. It's 2 hour round trip plus hanging about Inverness all day. I stay on my own in middle nowhere and have 3 dogs to care for. I can't leave them for whole day. I have a really good mechanic local and would use genuine parts.

Service and questions for new owner
Sorry for high jacking thread slightly. I have a brand new octavia vrs coming in few weeks, am I correct in thinking I don't need service done through dealer as long as my mechanic uses genuine skoda parts?? 2 main dealerships are over hours drive and it's a major hassle to use any of them. I was going to take the extra 2 years warranty but if it means I'm tied to dealership for servicing I won't. Thanks for any help/advice.
