Finally received news about the delivery of my car - build week 11. I really hope to receive the keys in early April. Fingers crossed! For information - the car was originally ordered on 10.09.2021.

I spoke with my dealer today. He said that they spoke with the representative of the factory last week, but this conversation did not yield any results. The car is still waiting for parts and the factory cannot give build week. I do not believe that my car will suddenly arrive in the next 2-3 months. In March, 18 months will have passed since the moment of ordering and 6 months from the originally named production week. I understand there are problems with plug-in hybrids, but why do you have to wait so long for mild hybrids. It's funny that for other car manufacturers or models, the delivery takes up to 9 months, but Octavia took so long... It's scary to imagine if the car will have problems with the parts that are currently missing during the warranty period. You can put it at the service door for half a year and wait...

I have a feeling that at some point the dealer might ask me to to pay the markup or break the contract. It would be a disgusting move, but I have heard that other manufacturers do it.

I periodically bombarded my sales manager. Yesterday I received a message that next week they are meeting with the representative of Škoda and will talk about the critical orders. After that, he promised to give some news. Sometimes I consider the idea of buying another car - Škoda Karoq or Hyundai Tucson, but considering the price of my Octavia, I cannot make such a decision. The fuel consumption is higher for those cars, and the bank interest rate will no longer be as low as when I ordered the Octavia. That's why I'm forced to wait... If I knew that the car would arrive in the next 1-2 months, then I wouldn't be so stressed, but knowing that others are waiting for 18 or more months... Just knowing that the car was ordered back in September 2021, it seems like it should be ready sometime soon. However, almost 16 months have passed...

In July, I reserved a car pre-ordered by the dealer on 09/21. Originally promised delivery on 10/22, but dealer still says no production week given. I see on this forum that others are being notified of a new delivery time, but my car dealer can't give it. He said that the car had already been produced, but was waiting for some missing parts. The question is whether the dealer is telling the truth... if he can't even give me a production week, how long could I have to wait? Another 3-6 months? Car: Elegance 1.5tsi mhev with matrix lights, acc, heated windshield...
