I don't know what errors my Octavia (2023) showed, but the dealer replaced the door locks under warranty. I hadn't noticed any problems myself, but during maintenance the dealer informed me about some errors and asked me to come back in a week for warranty repairs.

Why do so many users always complain about technology and touchscreens? How often do you change the climate temperature or air conditioner settings? I usually set the temperature and almost never change it. I think Octavia's touchscreen is very good. I used to drive Peugeot 308 - it had regular errors, worked slowly, etc. Octavia, after the update, I have not seen such problems anymore. About the lane assistant - very useful, especially on long trips. In winter, I drive through all of Europe to the Austrian Alps. It was super comfortable to drive using the adaptive cruise, matrix lights, lane assistant etc. After driving at least 1000 km without long stops, I didn't feel particularly tired, because I didn't have to press the gas and brake pedals, change lights etc. all the time. I have concluded that you should not resist technology, but you should learn how to use it to make your everyday life easier.

Just found interesting item in face lift Octavia accessories catalogue. Backup camera! Does anyone know if it is suitable for 2023 octavia?

I don't have built-in navi, but notifications appears as pop-ups. It is interesting that when you press the button "Parādīt vietu" - Show location in english, a map opens showing the location of the speed camera.

Half a year ago, I bought Traffication and Calendar option. I used it for a while and concluded that only the calendar is useful for me. But a few weeks ago, notices about speed cameras suddenly started coming and they come from Traffication. A useful feature if you want to use Google maps or built in navigation.

I would recommend to go to the dealer and tell them about the situation, so that they can erase the error themselves. Otherwise, clearing errors yourself may void the warranty.

Hi, I have turned on function that my car automatically unlocks when I approach. Is there an option so it could automatically lock doors when i leave? Other car manufacturers have both functions available, but for Škoda it looks like only automatic unlocking is possible.

Sad to hear that every dealer does things their own way. I called my dealer and told them that the infosystem regularly restarts at startup. He offered to schedule service visit in a few days and do the update. Relatively new dealer, only recently started working with Škoda cars, but nice that they know about TPI and update. After installing the 1941 version, restarts have not been seen. However, I probably wouldn't risk installing the update myself if the car had a manufacturer's warranty.

Yes, my dealer also suggested service visit and system update. It should took only 3 hours.

Lately I have noticed that the system restarts when I try to pull out of a parking space when the parking sensors are active. After the last update (a week ago) this happens more often. Maybe I should start bothering the service center, because it is annoying that the parking sensors cannot be used when you leave the parking space, because the system restarts.

In the Skoda Connect store, there was a Try button next to the buy button. I could try all the products - sign recognition, lighting colors, etc. Maybe not all countries have this option.

I think the hardware are the same. You can try navigation for free for one month. I tried it and realized that Google maps and Waze are much better. I didn't see the point of paying so much for built-in navigation, which I would use very rarely.

First impressions after 1.5 months and 3500km: 1. Info system restarted a few times, but for the last two weeks it hasn't happened. 2. One day when accelerating faster, the engine started jerking. It felt like the DSG box could not figure out whether to move gears up or down. When pressing the gas pedal, it jerked and barely moved forward. At that moment, the check engine light flashed and the start-stop system error came on. After turning the engine off and on, the problem went away but start-stop error disappeared only after standing for 1 hour with the engine off. 3. Lighting error happened twice. Couldnt tell why the error appeared but all the lights were working fine at that moment. After restarting, the error disappeared. Overall, I really like the car and I am happy with the choice. Dealer suggested to visit next time with engine running when errors appears.

Not sure about your car equipment but I have Elegance equipment with Bolero and ACC. I bought traffic sign recognition for 75 Euros at the Škoda store. Everything works. Cannot say that it is always useful, because sometimes it reads the signs incorrectly.

Got my Octavia a week ago. The first 900 km have been driven and I am very satisfied with my choice.

My Peugeot 308 has an electronic parking brake. It automatically disengages when you try to start driving.

Finally the car is here! Can't wait to get the keys. 🥳

Following the recommendation of one user, I called the Skoda importer at the end of January. The importer said that he cannot say more than a dealer. I called them two times (once a week) to ask if there was any news. Coincidence or luck, but 3 weeks later I got a call from the dealer that my car will be produced in one month. Until that moment, neither the planned nor the actual build week was known. Now I'm going to pick up my new car on April 1st. Can't wait! 🤗

Wohoo. Today the dealer informed me that my car has been manufactured and the VIN number has been received. Now we have to wait a couple of weeks for delivery.

I don't know the full history because I reserved preordered car last July. At least initially, production was planned for October 2022, but the production week was suddenly removed. There had been no news since October, but today the dealer finally received information about a build week. I don't know if I can believe it, but I have no choice.

Not sure if there is any difference in reality. At least in the screenshot the dealer sent from the ordering program, you couldn't see if it was confirmed or just tentative. There is only a field - Build week. In any case, the dealer could not guarantee 100% that the car would be finished. To my relief, they told me that a couple of weeks ago another car was given a build week (ordered one month early) and would be ready on time. And they see Octavia's slowly start to come.
