  1. It might help if my local Skoda dealer can identify the exact part numbers since he has already said he can't get them any longer?
  2. Yes please I need food rails for a mk1 estate + the plastic gutter trim that goes with the rails as the existing one would no longer fit
  3. Hi, If it is a MK1 with roof rails, then I will have the rails please and the bits of roof gutter trim that go with them. Roof lining down, and then just unbolt it. Where is the car? I am in Aberdeen
  4. Ideally need a cheap solution since the car is not worth a lot. Thanks I will check out
  5. AHH, I didn't know the hatch didn't have rails.
  6. This was the first route we went down. Bought the Thule bars and fitting kit, but there is no way of attaching it. I have looked at another car and they would fit, but not on my 53 plate. Hence my conclusion is to retro fit the rails as this is my only option it seems
  7. i dont know about the octavia, but the fixing positions are obvious and blanked off with the black plastic trim removed. Competence in fitting is not a problem, but unable as yet to find rails
  8. Yes the fixings and holes are under the black drainage channel trim. Nothing on ebay, and the skoda dealer is unable to obtain them.
  9. I dont have fixing points for the bars on my car, so not an option. However the blanked off fixing points for the rails are under the black plastic trim strip - i just need the rails. I am an aircraft sheet metal worker, so drilling holes in the right place is not a problem. living in NE Scotland there are not too many breakers with Mk1 estate cars. i wonder if the rails from a hatchback would fit?
  10. yes this one is the same - the fixings and holes are there under the black trim. Easy enough job if i can find some rails, but none of the breakers up here in NE Scotland have any. i did wonder if the saloon rails would fit??
  11. Hi, i have a 53 plate fabia estate and need some roof rails for it, in order that i can fit roof rack etc - does anyone have any for sale or know where i might find some please? Closer to NE Scotland the better. thanks
  12. Having waited almost 3 weeks for a replacement ABS pump to come from a spanish Ebay vendor, it was fitted and bled yesterday. Works perfectly with no trip to the skoda garage to get it coded to the car. Also had to clear the latched engine faults 18057 and 18061. Happy days (finally)
  13. im a bit slow updating this, but now having had all the looms stripped down for inspection and test as far as poss, i concluded it must be the ABS pump module at fault. I sent it of to ECU Testing in Derby for repair and they have confirmed it as a hardware fault with the unit, but are unable to repair it, or supply a replacement. The local skoda garage wanted £1100 for one, and none of the scrapyards have one of the correct part number. As i speak there is one coming from Spain that i found on Ebay for £100 - fingers crossed its a good one. keep you posted.
