  1. from what I can see, it only applies the brakes as a very last resort, so it's just that you haven't got to that point yet. I don't think there is 'front assist without automatic braking' from what I can tell (albeit I've only been looking at the Mk III Fabia).
  2. Thanks. I had the same question on a Fabia Estate Mk 3 - Front assist wasn't mentioned in the specs from the dealer, but if it's in the options menu, it must be fitted I guess. I'm not going to deliberately drive into something to see if works though... I need to warn my wife what to do if it comes on - am guessing it's a bit terrifying if it deploys and you're not aware of what it's doing.
