VCDS Heated rear seats diagnosis - MK2 facelift L&K
Hi all. I had to remove the rear bench so had to unclip the electrics for the rear bench heated seat elements. I put them back together exactly as they were originally, but after this they didn't want to switch on again. The centre console has power, the clock works and the kids can use the 12v socket for charging stuff, but the buttons for the rear seats won't activate the seat heating. Has anyone got any experience with this? I've tried:- Making sure the battery is full, just incase it's a charge issue Checked and replaced the fuses Ran VCDS diagnostic (auto scan), but no fault codes I'm totally confused what the issue could be. Can anyone point me to the specific area in the VCDS software, where you can configure and activate the rear heated seats please? I'm wondering if there might be a configuration issue. I have looked through 08 auto HVAC and can only see options and settings for the front heated seats, not the rears. Thanks in advance all ๐

Jacking Pads - Lifting Point Pads
Hi JR, yes i intend to use those jacking areas, not the sills. I'll update you on my progress. I'll measure my holes for the jacking points, if they are 2.6cm then i'll grab the amazon ones. I wouldnt need to leave them in situ, i could remove and place wherever i need to jack at the moment in time, so maybe as long as the pad is big enough in diameter i'll just need one and move it around.

Jacking Pads - Lifting Point Pads
Hi, has anyone got any experience with jacking point protective pads? Sorry if this has already been posted somewhere else, i did search but i couldnt find anything. I want to jack my superb up to check the wheel bearings, but i only have a trolly jack and i can see this scratching and not being too kind to my underneath due to its raw metal head. I've found these on amazon that look ok - https://www.amazon.co.uk/Pad๏ผJack-Compatible-Replacement-Protects-Dedicated/dp/B07ZT54NQ2/ref=sr_1_18?crid=20Y7CG8M9FYQX&keywords=jack+lift+pad+skoda+2&qid=1679565822&sprefix=jack+lift+pad+skoda+2%2Caps%2C62&sr=8-18 Powerflex do a set, but these are way too expensive - https://id-workz.co.uk/products/powerflex-jacking-point-insert-4-pack-for-skoda-superb-09-11?variant=41620125155486¤cy=GBP&utm_medium=product_sync&utm_source=google&utm_content=sag_organic&utm_campaign=sag_organic&gclid=CjwKCAjwzuqgBhAcEiwAdj5dRulik5bH5e5kisXdLtQkLe7GGevLL2DOSldu-GPOmt9U5NrTN18dzRoCm3QQAvD_BwE Thnaks in advance for the help ๐๐

Chrome Gear Shifter - Touchup Paint
Thanks for the response guys, appreciate the feedback. Its more of a fill and patch required rather than a perfect finish, i probably wont be able to see it when im sat in the car, i kind of just need something there to fill the space so its not so sharp and if i can create some sort of shiny mirror like finish that would be spot on..........hmmmmmm its a tricky one. I might get a few different options together and try them out on some scrap plastic first, get it as close as i can then go from there. Cheers for the help guys ๐

Chrome Gear Shifter - Touchup Paint
Hi guys, totally new here, so apologise if Iโve posted on thew wrong area, if I have please direct me to the right chat / posting area. I just bought my first Skoda yesterday, Iโm now the proud owner of a 2014 L&K Superb Mk2 and I absolutely love it ๐ The ca has been looked after so well, itโs almost mint, just a couple of improvements here and there and it'll be like new. Has anyone had experience with touching up the chrome on any of the plastic interior areas of their cars? As you can see from the pic the chrome has cracked and chipped off here, itโs a little bit sharp so I do catch my fingers on it, it doesnโt hurt and thereโs no risk of cuts, but Iโm concerned itโs only going to get worse then crack and chip further. I was thinking some modelling paint might do the trick of touching it up, but it might need filling every so slightly first then touching up with some sort of paint. If anyone has any experience with this type of repair Iโd love to hear about it, any advice would be appreciated. Thanks in advance guys ๐๐
