  1. Spoken to Skoda. No trace of a service their side. So I’m going with first service at 27 months independently done. Which there is paperwork for. skoda say the warranty has therefore expired. I have then spoken to Skoda extended warranty. They say they would warranty it and wouldn’t generically penalise me for the service being delayed. So I could obtain an extended warranty from them from august. Caveat being they said that so long as the warranty claim in question isn’t due to the delayed service… Which could be an issue if the engine went… I will see if the dealer will warranty it until August to cover the period.
  2. Thanks this is very useful. Im buying the car on the basis that it still includes manufacturers warranty. I suppose there is no way of testing that, assuming an 27 month first oil change, other than with a claim, which is less than ideal. I will go back to the dealer and insist on either evidence from them that there was a service prior, or that otherwise they will cover the warranty period. Would be a shame if I have to turn this down as I was quite keen on having a Karoq.!
  3. Should have added that the first service was done in November 2022 with a mileage of 10k
  4. Hello all Ive got the ball rolling on buying the following car this week Karoq 1.5 TSI SE DSG - 2020 plate Now I’m slightly confused by Skoda service intervals. The car is coming from a non-Skoda but nonetheless well-known dealer network. It was registered in August 2020. The only evidence they are providing me thus far is of a service by them in November 2022. The service included oil filter and oil with part number ZGB115QL801505 Should I have alarm bells ringing re what I can thus far evidence as it’s first service? They are assuring me this is fine with new Skodas and their long-service intervals…(?) The car has 5 months of Skoda warranty left on it. If this has gone over on its service, would the warranty still even be covered? Any advice appreciated 🙂
