  1. @varooom in your opinion, what are the odds that such firmware will fail during this procedure? if it fails-what's next, does one needs to go to the store for the professional repair or you just "reboot" the whole system to reset it to the previous version? as i am reading all the happy comments...it doesn't looks like hard thing to do do we need to update jut because there IS a new firmware (despite not knowing what is broken or fixed) or we can live (and drive) with one, two or 5 versions older firmware? regarding the nav update in the other debate...i went for pragmatic approach and for 50 eur order 1 yr connect service. at least navigation will be updated well, i hope.
  2. oh, so this is normal procedure then? ok, i'll put the usb drive in and try.
  3. okay, been away for a while. since i don't want to fuss around with firmware i tried to update navigation maps. since there is no option to update within settings i tried with pressing menu for 10 seconds and then selecting update...i was on internet normally (hotspot). and then it just went to this menu...is this normal (i can only choose reboot since all other commands are not responding...). and...sorry, i think i am using mib3 amudsen (you can transfer my question to other topic)
  4. Hello guys. just bought a 2020/11 kodiak. next week i go to official service for checks. as i saw there is an update for my vin number (navigation 2022/45). problem is that i don't have any sd slots in the unit in glove box compartment...? i have unit with knobs so probably it is amudsen. i have 3V0035820B, H22 and 0270 software unit if that helps what i have. i am not planning to update here (i dont even know how :). are these firmware updates just thing for home hacks or guys in the service shop also do that during check? just to know, is there an update for my unit? thanks.
