  1. Yea I would have thought that myself. It had been cleared by a few different garages probably about 3 or 4 times. Yes it is the original battery, I was actually just talking to someone yesterday that said I will probably look to replace the battery soon as it's coming up on 8 years old, though bar this tyre indicator light has never missed a beat.
  2. **Update** I brought the car to another mechanic on Friday, he disconnected the battery and left for a few minutes. He cleared faults and told me to try that. I have now driven 120 miles over the weekend and alas the light hasn't come back on (well over my 17 miles it usually took) Fingers crossed this it sorted, just thought I'd post here so if anyone else has encountered anything similar it's worth a try.
  3. I've had a slow puncture in the past and it actually told me which tyre it was but now it just shows them all light up and says the low pressure indicator.
  4. No it was a rear tyre that wasn't replaced originally but I have since tried replacing with a new one, same brand and light still came on. The issue is it doesn't tell me where the error comes from only the tyre pressure indicator light comes on and the display shows all lit up.
  5. Thank you, I will try that. My car was in for a service and the rear shocks changed two days ago and the mechanic ran a live diagnostic whilst taking for a drive and gave me a print out of the graph which he said there didn't appear to be any anomalies with any of the wheels. He checked the wheel bearings too and said they appeared to fine.
  6. Thank you for that. Yes it is looking more than likely abs wheel sensors, trouble is finding out which one as every garage that has plugged it in so far hasn't been able to get any specific information. Just that generic code. I'm not sure in skodas computer might be better placed pinpoint the precise wheel?
  7. Apologies, it is a Superb SE L Executive and yes it has acc.
  8. Thank you for your very detailed response. My initial thought was the possibility of the tyre that wasn't changed causing the light to come on so I did try changing it as the trye shop agreed to try it and refund if it didn't work which it turned out not to. I'm taking it to another garage this afternoon to see if they can shed any light.
  9. Thanks for your reply. Yes all tyres are the same make and size and inflated to the exact same pressure. I've reset several times on a single trip so temperature shouldn't be an issue.
  10. He hadn't pulled my trousers down, he's an old friend and an experienced reputable mechanic. I had actually alerted him to the two burst shocks on leaving the car with him as another garage had told me about them as I'd left it in for a diagnostic check with them just before the holidays. To be fair I've talked to several local mechanics about the issue now and no one seems to have a clue. The error code is the one I've posted In the first post. Both mechanics just said it may have been the issue neither said that was definitely it.
  11. Hey just a quick update. Finally got my car to my mechanic today for a service, and trying to get to the bottom of this tyre pressure light coming on (Ive worked out it comes on almost all the time after 17 miles after it's been reset) I needed two rear shocks as the old ones had burst and he thought there was a possibility this could have been the issue. He visually inspected the car while replacing the shocks and servicing the car. He ran a live diagnostic test including taking on a test drive which came back looking OK he showed me a print out of a graph which was normal looking and inspected all 4 wheel bearings which he said were all fine. I have only just completed another 17 miles and the dreaded light has come back on. I'm running out of ideas now. If I take the car to skoda will their computer be better placed to pinpoint the fault or am I just chasing my tail?! Many thanks in advance.
  12. Shows all coming up at least one side of the car that it displays rear and front
  13. Hi, thank you for the in depth reply, I first brought it back to the tire fitter and they checked all the pressures as I did myself and no apparent leak, yea I think there is a gremlin somewhere in it. I’m on my way to the tire place now to hopefully get to the bottom of it.
  14. The one that didn’t need replacing was a rear tyre with only 5k on it, it’s since been replaced and the issue is still there. The light has came on again unfortunately
  15. Ok thank you for the quick response.
  16. Hi, apologies if this has been asked before, i`ve seen two similar posts but no sort of definite solution. I purchased 3 new tyres on my 2017 Superb mk3 a few days ago and ever since around ever 10/15 miles my tyre pressue light indicator comes on, I have reset when stationary and engine off, it seems to stay off for another 10 or so miles before coming back on. I took it back to where I got the tyres fitted and they couln`t explain it, they said prehaps worth changing the one tyre that wasn`t originally which I have now done and the light has just come back on again after approx 10 or so miles. They said there is no sensor on the wheels. I have just returned from a friend who is a mechanic and he hooked it up and got the following error code C12950 | Tire Check indicator / Wheel loose detection - Data implausible. He was able to wipe the code off with his computer so I have only drove 5 miles or so since, If the light comes back on would any of you knowledgeable folk have any ideas? Thanking you in advance....
  17. It was a camshaft sensor and yes it did the trick.
  18. Hi, sorry to hear you're having similar issues as I was. Yea camshaft sensor sorted it for me thankfully after several mechanics unable to find the fault. Hope you get sorted.
  19. Yes I remember checking everywhere online in different forums as no one seemed to encounter the issue or expensive suggestions. Gladly it's sorted. Hopefully you get to the bottom of yours.
  20. Hi there, sorry to hear about the issues you're having. Yes my issue had several mechanics scratching their heads, it was when it was in with skoda themselves their computer detected a faulty cam shaft sensor. Yes it has not given me any trouble since and I have driven around 10k now since.
  21. Hi, yes fortunately I've had 7k miles now without issue. It was a head scratcher at the time for several mechanics. Hope you get sorted.
  22. Just getting around to replying to this now, it turned out to be a faulty camshaft sensor, since ive had it replaced I have driven around 800 miles now without issue.
  23. Quick up date, brought to Skoda today for their diagnostic test, came back with intermittent fault on the crankshaft sensor was given a price and I gave the go ahead. Was rang several hours later to say when the mechanic was about to fit the new sensor he discovered a leak from a faulty crankshaft seal on the gearbox side which would require 5.8 hours labour and £700+ bill! Says the old sensor was probably OK and that the oil from the leak would have been the cause of my problem all along. I am holding off for now as I have since spoken to 2 different mechanics who found this strange for the age and mileage of the car and were surprised the mechanic didn't just fit the new sensor. I think I'm going to get my local mechanic to replace the camshaft sensor and try and examine as best he can for leaks.
  24. Thanks very helpful info
