  1. Yes I remember checking everywhere online in different forums as no one seemed to encounter the issue or expensive suggestions. Gladly it's sorted. Hopefully you get to the bottom of yours.
  2. Hi there, sorry to hear about the issues you're having. Yes my issue had several mechanics scratching their heads, it was when it was in with skoda themselves their computer detected a faulty cam shaft sensor. Yes it has not given me any trouble since and I have driven around 10k now since.
  3. Hi, yes fortunately I've had 7k miles now without issue. It was a head scratcher at the time for several mechanics. Hope you get sorted.
  4. Just getting around to replying to this now, it turned out to be a faulty camshaft sensor, since ive had it replaced I have driven around 800 miles now without issue.
  5. Quick up date, brought to Skoda today for their diagnostic test, came back with intermittent fault on the crankshaft sensor was given a price and I gave the go ahead. Was rang several hours later to say when the mechanic was about to fit the new sensor he discovered a leak from a faulty crankshaft seal on the gearbox side which would require 5.8 hours labour and £700+ bill! Says the old sensor was probably OK and that the oil from the leak would have been the cause of my problem all along. I am holding off for now as I have since spoken to 2 different mechanics who found this strange for the age and mileage of the car and were surprised the mechanic didn't just fit the new sensor. I think I'm going to get my local mechanic to replace the camshaft sensor and try and examine as best he can for leaks.
  6. That's great thank you, I will bring it to my local garage on Monday with the codes and if no joy I will try your recommendation before going to Skoda.
  7. Thank you for your reply, I only have basic testers which are showing me 12+ volts on the battery, I have checked connections to the battery and although tight I have given an extra turn. Bangor
  8. HI, my name is Jonathan from N.Ireland. I have just come across this fantastic site as I was googling my problem and this site appears to be the go to with questions problems and tricks Skoda related. My car is a Superb mk3 2017 2.0 diesel Estate. I bought the car in 2020 with 59k on the clock from a dealership. I have never had any trouble with it up until about 6 weeks ago, as the car was approaching 85k I got my timing belt & water pump replaced (by a reputable garage) About a week or so after I was starting to get intermitting stuttering when accelerating, it would only last for a few seconds then drive as normal. This has been happening on and off now ever since, sometimes I can go a week with no issue , other days it can happen several times in one journey. The mystery in all this was it wouldn`t bring on the engine management light, I have brought it back to my regular garage who changed the fuel filter and cleared the lines as precaution but couldn`t find any issues and nothing was recorded on the diagnostics, after checking with other mechanics no one seems to have experienced this and googling the problem lead me here. A couple of days ago whilst stuttering a number of warning lights came on and the car went into limp mode. the following lights came on. PREHEATING UNIT, ESC, TYRE PRESSURE, ERROR PARKPILOT, there were other warning messages but unfortunately I didn't get my phone out quick enough to record. My local garage has been closed over Easter not opening until 17th. I took it to another place who kindly plugged it into the diagnostic machine, the following were the error codes, p032200 Ign./Distributor Eng.Speed Inp.Circ. No signal, & C114602 Tire pressure monitoring display Signal error. I have booked into Skoda for a diagnostic test at the end of the month, I will bring the car to my local garage in-between when he reopens but I just wanted to check in case this is something anyone out there has encountered. Thank you in advance.
