IIRC the display defaults to whatever it was last set to when the engine was switched off. The multi function display will show a number of different things there.
To change the display you need to do one of the following:
If you have steering wheel controls:
1) press the back button (right had controls to the right of the scroll wheel)
2) scroll to the telephone display
3) click the scroll wheel to select
If you do not have steering wheel controls.
1) press and hold one of the buttons on the end of the right hand stalk
2) using the two buttons on the end of the right hand stalk scroll to the telephone display
3) using the button on the underside of the right hand stalk select the telephone display.
My understanding is that if the display is left on this display when the car switches off, it will remain there when it switches on.

We've been told to advise people from April onwards, but considering we're only allowed to order a few per month, after the first few go into April it will be May, June, etc.

^^ I can't get it to replicate this, are you referring to how the part assist becomes greyed out when you select front parking sensors (and vice versa). If so this is to prevent you from selecting both because the park assist already includes the front sensors.
-
It can be quoted by dealers.

I have had a ring round several dealers I have had my previous Skodas from and they all seem a little frustrated. Yep you can order a car and they have the mini brochure for you to look at. Unfortunately there are no details in respect of finance package on the system as yet so cannot put any numbers around a car if you order. I am now really bored of this long drawn out model release. It looks a great car and really fancied one to replace my Scout next year but without any knowledge of what it will cost to take ownership on finance, looks like I will be joining a long queue at some point next year when Skoda pull their finger out and get all the info to their dealers.
The Finance systems all went live on Wednesday, pricing has been available most of the week.

Launch demonstration vehicles tend to be auto allocated to dealerships as opposed to taking up build slots so I wouldn't worry about the above.
-
You can disable this function in the vehicle settings within the MIB infotainment system. I believe its in locking/unlocking and under the convenience opening.
-
The service plan Skoda offer on used cars is only for vehicles setup on fixed (10k or 1 year) servicing

Easy way to check any android phone without faffing around checking software versions. Go into the play store, see if you can download Android Auto app. If you can its compatible, if you can't it's not.

I'm sure you'll enjoy it ;-)

^^ True, but the same could be said of any body shop. However, if later down the line there is a paint or corrosion issue and it's clear it's been repaired and not by an approved body shop it will be thrown out.
I guess the argument SUK is making is to do with a warranty fault, vs a low quality repair. The former being their issue, the latter being the bodyshops.
I'm no paint expert so I couldn't argue effectively about the difference between the two. But I'm sure there must be one.
It's a bit like if your cars in a garage for a service and they don't tighten up something, subsequently your engine breaks - It's the responsibility of the garage, not SUK.

True; my point is that it is possible for factory options to affect CO2 figures.
Yep it definitely is. In the case of the Skoda Fabia the size of the alloy wheels affect the co2 emissions.
-
Er, some Festers have different VED classes depending on whether or not they have a standard full-size spare wheel.
Thats fine, but we're talking about using the co2 figure to work out if a Fabia is 90ps or 105ps?
-
The Kenwood plug in is dealerfit.
-
Having a spare wheel doesn't affect the official Co2 figures. Just the Alloy wheel size.

I'd use a VW group approved one. You can find them here https://www.insurewithvolkswagen.co.uk/CustomerServices/PaintAndBodyLocator.aspx

I doubt it, the Bolero has always been a non navigation unit. On the Octavia a Bolero with Nav would be the Amundsen unit anyway.
Unless you mean the ability to retro-fit a SatNav upgrade, which Skoda offer a garmin unit that can be retrofitted into the car using the Bolero screen.
-
If you give me the registration I can check it.

In terms of the warranty, anything that isn't supplied by Skoda and fitted by an authorized repairer will void the warranty for any components it affects, you might find a supplier will warranty the parts and their workmanship, but that would be separate.
In terms of the PCP you can technically do what you want to the car. Just remember that when you come to part exchange the car at the end that your changes may negatively affect the value. Your other option would be to undo the modification before part exchanging.

You can't ask for me, I don't work there anymore ;-)

No need to request one to stamp. You can get a print off of the service record. It can be stored in the back of the service book. The dealer SHOULD provide a print off for each service record when it's done. Same for the pre delivery inspection.

Mirrorlink is awful, avoid it like the plague. For Android Auto it is built into the OS for any Android phone running Android 5.x Lollipop that also uses Google services.

as far as i could see it did nothing no braking no warning but i did expect a warning as the book say under certain speeds there is no audio
There are 3 stages IIRC
white warning
Red warning Beep
Braking
These can all happen quite quickly.
Unfortunately as Skoda said it's an assistant system, not a fail safe. I remember a story of someone complaining that their ABS system hadn't stopped them from crashing into the back of another car. They didn't understand that ABS is designed to enable you to steer whilst under heavy braking, not close a following distance.
I'm not saying you were driving unsafe, one of my friends did the very same into the back of (fortunately) another friends car at a roundabout, but what I am saying is it's not the cars fault you crashed.
