Never mind. Did it just out of curiosity as this seemed like the only time I could be on the Kent/Folkstone/Dover coast within a meaningful time line. I didn't prioritize this as a special trip. Just so happened to be there for work purposes.

These were all FM. I don't think I managed any DAB stations.

Not knowing which stations broadcast TMC in France & to those I picked up, which is the reason why I went through the list of every radio station I could which must have been 9 or so which surprised me. Maybe a good day for radio waves. Some I agree were fairly weak but some managed a good few miles drive out of Dymchurch before the signal faded for the good ones like Bluenord. I would have thought one or more of these would have carried the TMC signal after all the FM waveband is not awash with stations like DAB. Naturally having to span over a 22 mile gap to the UK where it is not intentionally supposed to be broadcasting can have it's own problems, particularly in good, healthy signal strength. Looking at the grouping for those stations they did have the Country of Origin tag of France. It was a interesting check nonetheless.

Okay, as requested by another member here, I was in Kent on Monday, down in Dymchurch where I managed to pickup a host of French radio stations from the likes of Europe 1 + 2, Musique, Inter, Bluenord plus many more (left list at home!). I can confirm though, sadly, that this did not make a jot of difference to the activation of the TMC signal. So maybe Europe wide.

Well there's a thought, but unfortunately I'm not in Kent, I'm in Essex & Clacton or somewhere nearby is about as close as I could get. Certainly not as favorable as the the Kent coast where I'm quite aware that overseas stations can be picked up. I would need to make a special trip for that even tho' I do pass Kent or even go into Kent from time to time, not a very instant solution, but I do like your idea 🙂

WOW, that is strange. I've not been anywhere near the M5 as I live south east & not noticed this kind of reaction on my travels, even down to the Isle of wight, nothing. I have fiddled with radio stations, FM as well as DAB to see if I could prompt it back into action but no joy. I did reconsider resetting the radio system but at the time didn't fancy that. For my trip down to the Isle of wight I had to re-initiate my TomTom which worked fine with traffic but alas I still had to suffer the blues on the M25 😒

Had a reply today. They have expressed that I should contact the Digital Team using this email address *****@*****.tld or telephone 00800 80 247 247 for assistance as they look after the Skoda connect services..... Huh? Alternatively if all else fails please contact your local Skoda dealer for a swift resolution!

Well I made a general enquiry to Skoda UK earlier in response to above. Wait to see what they have to say. More likely will get same response to contact Support team.

Would just like to add as I've been experiencing the same problem with my Octavia of 68 number plate vintage. Was working completely fine until 2 or 3 weeks ago. I had a look on the infotainment menu of a mates 2020 Superb to see if same problem but due to the more up market infotainment system & features the menu was different & I could not find the relevant info. My mate did not know since uses Google via android auto. So stuffed here to. I drive around a lot for work purposes so this is a big blow. May have to go back to my TomTom or use (via a payment) the phone app 😞
