  1. Hi everyone my heater matrix needs replacing in my octavia I am wondering if anyone no's where I can get it replaced cheaper than £900 I have been quoted in the West midlands area please? I don't have the no how nor the time to do it myself so looking for recommendations if possible please thanks .
  2. @RaduCno problem I work lates that's why lol. That's ashame what I can say that may help is they plugged in a computer and the program was called vcds and it took the bloke literally 2 mins to sort it, perhaps if you could find a VW/Skoda specialist garage near you that uses that system it may help?
  3. @RaduChi there it was "midland vw" in Norton canes, west midlands highly recommend
  4. @SussexTrekmyn had been messed with the revs had been set at -60 below normal had it plugged in took them seconds to find problem was suppost be £45 but didn't charge me as was fast fix, maybe worth a try at a specialist near you?
  5. Hi guys so I got an update on my issue booked into a specialist and they plugged in the vcds and discovered that someone had messed around with the revs and set them at -60 from normal idle he reset back to 0 and problem instantly solved, they did this free of charge for me and while I was there booked in for the dsg service 😄 (I couldn't wait 5weeks for the Skoda appointment)
  6. @tootyes I have booked in for dsg service now with Skoda and shall ask them about the revs aswell it's when I'm in drive with foot on brake same when in neutral and same in park aswell, which is why I'm thinking it's a rev problem not a gearbox problem but I'm sure Skoda will beable to tell me thankyou for all your advice everyone it's much appreciated
  7. @Gammylegyeah same here when I lift them slightly it goes away
  8. @GammylegIm not sure I am not very mechanically minded to be fair and I don't own tools so all I can do is look down under the bonnet really lol I no there's a tray on bottom so can't see from the bottom
  9. @tootis has had the fuel filter done but no its not had its dsg serviced at 80k think I shall book in for those things
  10. @toot I purchased it 3 weeks ago and I do have warranty but I don't live about an hour and half away from the dealership so if it was a possible little fix I was just going to sort myself, or it could be the way the dsg is? Like because it's primed and ready to go on drive? I don't no because its my first auto, but it's done 101 thousand full Skoda service history from the same Skoda garage all its life had the cam belt and water pump done at 96k it had a service oil and filter couple days before I got it by the garage and they also replaced full disks and pads all round so they don't seem to be a half a job place to me I have used all the fuel that was in it yes and today I thought I would fill it up with the better ultimate diesel from bp as I had seen a thread somewhere on here about putting that in with someone who had same problem 6 years ago lol I haven't checked the air filter as Its just had a service but I will do tomorrow just incase.
  11. Hi what was the problem In the end? as I have the same kind of little shaking/vibration on my Octavia 2.0tdi dsg
  12. Hi guys I am new here and new to Skoda I have recently purchased a 2013 Octavia 2.0tdi dsg estate and I love it, everything runs drives beautifully I just noticed and traffic lights/junctions the car seems to shake/vibrate a little like as if the revs are to low? It idles perfect no bouncing up and down on the rev gauge and sits on the notch between 5 and 10 on rev counter perfectly. Can I increase the idle position at all? Because if I tap the accelerator to raise the revs just ever so slightly the shake stops, also when it's cold in the morning it doesn't do it it's only after warming up. Any advice would be appreciated thankyou.
