Switched aftermarket DRLs
Thank you very much. Mainly for the useful information but also for not laughing at my weird idea 😂 I'll most likely be back with some follow up questions once I've done a bit of digging around the car to weigh the job up and see if it looks like it'll be worth the headache. Thanks again

Switched aftermarket DRLs
Hi all, Apologies if this has been covered, but I've searched and searched and haven't quite found the information I'm after: I'd like to fit some additional DRLs, but in yellow, probably somewhere around the fog lights area (pic and link attached as an example) https://a.aliexpress.com/_EII0y20 Now I know some might laugh at the idea, but it's inspired by lorries that have a large array of lights... Just bit more subtle. My question is, how would I go about wiring them with a switch in the cab? I'd like to fit a small rocker switch on one of the blank buttons in front of the gear stick. Plenty of posts have mentioned people wiring light bars etc to come on with main beam, but I'd like to have these DRLs on a separate switch to turn them on and off at will, more than likely only when the ignition is on as I can be quite forgetful. I'm fine with the physical act of basic wiring one I know what I need, but please explain in layman's terms what I'd need to wire in and to where (relays etc.) Thanks!

034Motorsport (or other) dogbone engine mount insert - opinions please!
Sorry to hijack an old(ish) thread, but this seems like the best one to answer a recent question of mine regarding the top part of the insert as last time I looked into buying one, I either didn't see or just didn't notice that there was an upper mount available. How has it treated you in the last couple of years?

Aftermarket Wheels: Offset and Width
My bad, I meant 235/40. Been looking at tyre sizes most of the day and started to get numbers mixed up 🙃

Aftermarket Wheels: Offset and Width
Good afternoon folks, I know this or a similar question has been asked at least 7,643,982 times already but I'd just like to get a last bit of confirmation as I've trawled through and struggled to find exactly the answers I'm looking for. I've got a 66 plate PFL vRS wagon, 2.0 diesel, *not lowered*. It came with 19" Extremes which I since sold and replaced with 18" Neptunes (massive downgrade, I know, but I wanted a slightly softer ride and also suddenly became strapped for cash a little while later). Anyway. Before I dive in and buy some more appealing aftermarket wheels for spring/summer, I'm just looking for some pointers by anyone who's done similar. I'd like to stay with 18s, hopefully these lovely 1Form Edition 1s, 8.5j et45: https://www.lkperformance.co.uk/wheels/1form/11704-edition-1-edt-1-gloss-graphite?vehicle=1984&front-rear=18x8.5&inventory_id=841245 Again, the car isn't lowered, and never will be until I inevitably change my tune and buy springs. These apparently fit the car according to the LK Performance website, and I've checked on willtheyfit and tyrestretch to settle on 235/35 tyres. Now to actually ask the question(s)... Has anyone fitted this size of wheel and tyre to their Octy and is willing to share pics and pointers? Also, without lowering and fitting sketchy stretched tyres, what offset can I get away with on an 8 or 8.5j wheel? Also possibly without spacers. Thanks for sticking with me on this! Lex
