I presume this is what you mean.

It's coming from the dashboard or from behind the dashboard. I have had the car since new - there are no third-party devices fitted.

Can anyone identify this beeping noise coming from my dashboard? Only does it occasionally. No accompanying warning lights or other indications. Disappears after turning ignition off and back on. Video was taken with car stationary and ignition on. VID_20250922192947.mp4

Tried it, but it didn't help. My Owner's Manual says: SafeLock switches on when the vehicle is locked. This function is enabled after switching off the ignition with the message Check SAFELOCK! Owner's manual in the instrument cluster display. With the activated SafeLock, the warning light in the driver's door flashes for 2 seconds in rapid succession, this then starts to flash at longer intervals. I have never seen the warning message, but the warning light flashes exactly as described when I lock the car.

My Octavia has a full size spare wheel and tyre (ie not a space saver) but has a big sticker on it saying max 80kph. It's a steel wheel, the car is fitted with alloy wheels. I have had two tyre specialists look at it and they both said it is perfectly safe to drive at highway speeds (110kph). I queried this with the Skoda dealer and their answer was that Skoda must have a good reason for this. Any thoughts? The first time we got a puncture we ended up driving 200km on a single lane highway at 80kph with a long line of vehicles behind us (this is Australia!)

The User Manual describes the deadlocking and anti-theft alarm functions, although the manual covers every possible function, so you are probably right - they weren't fitted to my car. I'm suprised they didn't fit something as basic as an alarm.

The Safelock on my 2018 Octavia has never worked. I don't get the warning message in the instrument cluster, but the warning light in the driver's door flashes to tell me it's working. Any ideas? Also the anti-theft alarm has never worked. I presume the two features are related somehow.
