  1. As far as I read - there are significant differences with the old 2.0TSI with 280hp first, 272hp and the latests one is again 280hp like mine. It looks like the turbo is new from Continental with some modern technology called Raax. Also the input fuel from injector is with 350bar compared to the 'old' ones of 200bar. And some other peripheral stuff... So I am curious more about if there is someone with the latests EA888 Gen 4 evo engines and tune from Revit or other reliable companies?
  2. Hello All, Did someone have already a feedback for the Revo stage 1 soft for 280hp with continental turbo? As far as I can see they recently released a software for our engines - https://www.onlyrevo.com/product-details/performance-pack/mqb-20tsi-ea888-evo-high-output-performance-pack I am pretty sure when I checked last time in January there were no signs. There is a massive upgrade reported from revo (and other tuners also) even for only a stage 1 and no hardware needed.
  3. Yeah, just to clarify that I am looking only for non-DCC solutions so I dont know how relevant will be your feedback. I suppose that B6 with DCC is totally different league.
  4. Hello All, There is still nothing official from my side. I disucss the options with big service dealer. I request from them to provide a Passat Alltrack B6 dampers. However, after check from their side it seems the need to import it because there are no quantity available in the country. I think due to the exotic type of that product and the specific of the Skoda/VW only suitable it was never in stock. The problem is that the service cannot confirm that the Alltrack dampers will fit to my Skoda Scout and if they dont fit we cannot return them back... So now, what I thought I can order the from autodoc and as far as I can see there is a return option. So after they arrive we can easily see if they fit to mine. However, the problem and the final results will be known at least after they are fit to the car and that means we cannot return it anymore. Lately, I am thinking for this - what if my spring rate is not suitable for such a thought damper as B6 ? IF the spring is too weak and the damper is on the hard side? May be I should think for an option to change the springs also. For example what If I put spring that is used on Alltrack and that should mean that the dampers will fit 100% right? I did some work over the excell table below with the suitable dampers for B6 and B4: May be when the info is presented a little bit better we can choose the most appropriate product. I still think that B6 35-273806 fronts and Bilstein B6 24-267137 rears are most suitable for increased height suspension. As far as B4 - I think it clearly matches the Skoda Superb rought road package so they will fit 100% but I dont know if I will be happy with them.
  5. Hello @PatFinland, Can you share some more feedback how is the car performing after a certan period with the upgrade to B4 rear suspension and new springs? How is the setup performing going over a potholes or other road imperfections? Are you satisfied and do you plan to change the fronts also? I am also looking for such a change but still in doubt should I go to B6 (not confirm fitment and the local services doesnt want to get involved into) or to the B4 as it is stated that they fit to a Rought Road Package/Scout.
  6. Yeah, I totally understand your logic and I agree with you. Its just that I am feeling confused to do something and the manufacturer of the product told me that it is not suitable. That is why I am trying to see all points of view.
  7. The above tables doesnt mean much for me. As far as I can see there are lowering springs. I am trying to stick with the OE height - i.e. Raised than the standard one. Just receive another response from Bilstein team that states - the Scout was tested and they did not have any shocks for it 😞 Its a non ending nightmare with this suspension...
  8. Nothing again for the Alltrack shocks... Only the front says 55mm which is listed everywhere. I can imagine that all of the website are importng data from the offical bilstein database.
  9. @CarlstonI just receive a reply from Bilstein 10 days after I sent my request: I explicetly asked them to tell me what are the difference between Alltrack B6 shocks and Superb B6 standard shocks... So the passat Alltrack has a green light to use the B6 but the Skoda Superb doesnt ...Hows that possible...
  10. That one sounds reasonable and expected to be. However, my doubts were exactly on the techincal side and due to the 100% missing technical specifications from Bilstein. Its hell of a mess with the details, fitments and part numbers. Theoritically - how do you think that the differences in the shock lenght.bump stops is going to be feel in the real driving of the car? I think you are right - the 151mm height is given for the standard suspenions but all the online catalogs are just copy pasting stuff. It is very difficult to find a correct data. So the clearance should be 166mm - this is still a difference with the Passat Alltrack but this is due to the difference in the used tyres. I think we can add some 10mm more for the passat only from the tyres. Superb 235-45-18 Passat 245-45-18 One of my latests question and theories. How would you interpretate that when we load the car 2 adults, 1 toddler and full boot space, the car ride and handling become terrible. All the road imperfections are being feel much harder and uncomfortable. The car leans much more. Does his behavior correspond to weak shocks and stiff/longer springs ? And that should be much better with a Bilstein B6?
  11. Is there any possibilities that the passat alltrack B6 version is logner than the Skoda Superb standard ride height one? I am curious from where the differences in the ground clearence comes for the Superb Scout, Passat Alltrack and Skoda Karoq: Karoq 172 mm Passat Alltrack 174 Superb Scout 151 mm There is clearly something related between the Karoq and Passat - just as it is stated and pointed that the Bilstein B6 35-273806 is for. Hows that possible that there is not a single word about the technical data and size for Bilstein suspenions? Do you think there can be any major differnces in the sizes between the two versions B6 - Skoda Superb standard height and the passat/karoq?
  12. A little update and info from my side. I did go to the dealer and asked what are my current suspension setup and I asked for a prat numbers: Front shocks - 3Q0413031CT Front springs - 5Q0411105HS Rear shocks - 3Q0513049GA Rear springs - 3Q0511115AS According to the front shock number - this clearly matches the Bilstein B4 but again nothing for B6... I am sure that Bilstein doesnt even know that the Scount is just a Superb with a rised suspenions/bad road. I am attaching a few pictures that I got in the past from beneath the car. Front one seems to match but am I wrong that I see a different part number on the rear shocks ? It clearly can be seen as - 3Q0512011JC by ZF ? I am confused now. According to the above information, which bilsten B6 will be most suitable to order for my Scout ?
  13. I am 100% sure and ready to order 4 shocks - I just want to be 100% sure which one of both options will suite better for my configuration. I have sent an email to Bilstein with all the details we had here. Meanwhile, I found another user with Scout complaining about that and reached Bilstein before a few years back: "Unfortunately we have to inform you, that we don't have a BILSTEIN solution in the catalog for the mentioned vehicle with option Scout, which is softer then series." That was the short reply to his email. This somehow confirms that the Scout has a soft setup than the regular one. I am just waiting to see the Alltrack shock size because it seems that even on a Bilstein catalog there is no data for it.
  14. I am not sure that the comparision between Alltrack and Scout is correct because as far as I have seen an Alltrack - it looks higher than my Skoda. Also the regular Passat estate is also lower than the Alltrack: Now, about the link above for the Alltrack version of B6. Its strange that according to the site above, the shown B6s are fitted to VW Alltrack series eg - Golf, Passat, even Tiguan, and for Skoda - only for Karoq. So considering that the Passat Alltrack is higher than Skoda Scout, and the presented part is also fitted to a SUV like Tiguan and Cupra Forementor, Seat Ateca - can we judge that this is not proper replacement for the Superb even with higher suspension ? May be the 'normal' B6 version for Skoda will be better approach? Sadly, It seems there is no website containing that Bilstein B6 Alltrack dampers what size are they to compare with B6 for Skoda Superb - even the official Bilstein site...
  15. As far as I can see for Bilstein - this is the part number that is needed for my Wagon - 35-229872. I did some research and we can see the sizes here 548mm: Also we can notice the specified NOT FOR - Scout ... However, According to the sizes because If I compare it to the KYB 3358015 above front size is from 520mm to 550mm (550mm that is supposed to be the size for the Raised vehicle ) - it means that B6 should also fit on the OE springs ?
  16. Oh my God, this was exactly written just out of my minds. I have absolutely the same feeling. I had to drive sooo slowly sometimes that there has been a queue behind me with much more cheaper and old cars that want to overtake me. This never happen with any of my old cars. I also think that when you hit the first bump, the suspenion is not been able to set up again in a normal position. May that means - the shocks are soo soft and lazy that dont want to decompress at all. As I said, overall feeling is that I am driving on springs only. Now, about the KYB, I am thinking that most of the OEM replacement will be pretty much the same and thats why I would risk with a time proven product as Bilstein. I am feeling more and more confident about that change. I am just afraid what will happen with changing the current soft dampers to B6 and keeping the old Springs.
  17. I would like to stay with the current increased height. Thats why I bought the Scout. I dont know from where the height comes ? Only due to the 'longer' springs? If that is the reason - how the Biltein B6 for normal height will work with the longer springs ? I am getting the daily feeling that the car is 'swimming' or and feeling like a boat. Its just that feeling that car is sitting only on the springs and even the smalles bump that are on the road are transferring to the cabin. It is very strange that the car leans a lot, there is a lot of movement of the body, it has the boat feeling but when I hit a bump or a sleeping policeman there is sooo much noise and it seems I am bottoming out the suspenion. Does that mean that the spirngs are soft or the shocks are soft ? As far as I can understand the Bilstein B6 are much harder shocks and I have to know what will be the end result before I spent a lot of money and replace the oem 3 years old suspension.
  18. Hello All, A little update from my side. Already checked everything and the car with the dealer for some time. They didnt find any techincal issues... just like the last few times I asked them to check. However, I was in contact with Bilstein but the cannot provide me a dampers for my car because it is with tag 'raised suspension'. They dont have 1 to 1 replacement of my shocks. They are very strick in that to not mount a shocks, that are not exactly replacement of my oem shocks. How can I find a proper replacement of that crappy shocks or at least how to know which one of the Bilstein are the shocks for 'not raised' suspension?
  19. 1. Its Ok, I driven with a different value from 2.3 bar to 2.5 bar - not satisfied. 2. It looks fine for me. 3. I dont see transport bolts and apart from that I already driven the car to the local dealer to check explicetly for them. 4. Alignment is not an issue. Tyre sizes are the same as the normal editions - 235/45/18. Current tyres - Michelin Primacy 4. Winter Michelin Pilot Alpin and Goodyear UltraGrip Performance + same size... There was an interesting suggestion above about the softness? What if the problem is really that the suspenion is too soft? But that would be strange because with a low low speeds even the tiny uneven surface or bump is feeling at the cabin? Is that supposed to be an effect of a too tight suspenion? However, I dont think we have a too tight suspenion or at least not with a full motion of it. For sure there is too big movement of the whole chassis on bump stops or when I gently stroking the break pedal of the car. The car than instantly sticks the front part of the car to the road... Its horrible. You can receive a sea sickness just touching the breaks not even breaking... The whole car shackes than. May be everything is just a wrong springs and shock absorbers. May be there are soft springs but tights schock absorbers? Or shock absorbers that doesnt work with the same pressure of the whole movement .... What if the springs are too soft and cannot expand the shock absorbers properly? Too many questions... What would be the possible results if I buy Bilstein B6 for a normal Superb Suspenion hight and keep the same 'higher' springs?
  20. One more thing - I driven a few other Scouts with Diesel or with Petrol engines and all of them were much more comfortable then mine. I even checked the suspenion numbers from the one I tested and it seems the parts are the same as mine. Its just that all other cars are much more able to glide the bumps without being noticed in the cabin. The feeling is that on every bump the suspenion is bottoming out. Is this sounds like the suspenion is just too soft and cannot handle all road imperfection?
  21. The issue is from day 1 after I got the car out of the dealer. I never felt confident in driving it properly expect in the stright line, on perfect roads or on the autobahn where even with 200km/h I dont feel very confident. Another interesting case I notice many many times. When the road is uneven, I notice that I drive slowly on the edge of the comfort and every time there are many other cars that are sitting on my tailgate even started to overtaking me. Much more older, smaller car. I am pretty sure that they feel more comfortable to drive with higher speeds with more settled suspension than me. Overall - with that car I am achieving my lowest average speed then any other car I had in the past considring the fact that its nearly 300hp... Transport bolts was one of the 1st things that I requested to be checked on my earliest Inspection...Sadly they were already removed.
  22. Hello All, Its my first topic here. Am driving a 2021 Superb Scout 2.0 TSI without DCC suspension. I am having a horrible issue with the comfort of the car. The suspension is jiggling all over the road imperfections and there is enourmous LEAN when accelerating or breaking. Its soo disturbing that all of the passengers wife, kids and any other peoples that are sitting in the car. I guess the problem is that the car is with Rought Road suspenion with increased height with 1.5cm over the normal Superb (again without DCC because the DCCC ones are lowered). Even the tiny road imperfections, stones, chips are feeling inside the cabin. it is very strange because on the nice roads the car drives OK and its sitting very well. It has somekind of floatty feeling but in the second that there are even a small bumps the suspenions cannot settle down. The bad feeling increase when there are successive bumps in the road. Plus that - there are always some kind of creaking and squeezing sound coming from the suspenion over the bumps. I heard that this may come from the gearbox which should be 'normal'.... Sadly, the local dealer is saying that 'its just normal' and there are no technical issues with the suspenion. I have been a few times there already to complain about that one. Now I am looking for a suspenion upgrade options - what I can do without lowering the car? I already contacted Bilstein, Koni, KW but all of the does not have anything in their catalogs for edition Scout - which is sitting higher. To be honest I am not even sure from where the heigh is coming and whats the difference in the suspenion itself comparing the Scout and normal one ? Higher springs, longer shocks, any kind of harder struts? I know that there are no Scout modifications in UK but I guess there are peoples reading the forum from other contries as well. I would love to hear any other opinions what I can change to make the car drive a little bit better? Regards,
