wales1975 started following Scala buying tips , Scala 1.0TSI Vs 1.5TSI , Skoda Scala 1.0 TSI and 2 others

I have recently purchased a 1.0TSI SE Scala. Is the 1.5TSI smoother on the motorway? I find i have some vibrations in the cabin with the 1.0. Could it be because its a 3 cylinder and not as smooth as a 4 cylinder? Not sure if i should return the car and pay the extra for a 1.5TSI SE L? Decisions, Decisions.

Maybe it is the 3 cyl engine, as i have not driven one before.
-
Do you find some vibrations in the cabin? I loved the car. Noticed before the stop start was activated there was some vibration. Some say its the 3 cylinder engine. Im new to Skodas, ive always had Vauxhalls.
-
The only problem i have is that its the only one locally. The other one is a 1.5tsi which is in a small garage and still over 15k.

Anyone recommend a 1.0 TSI Scala? I have been looking to buy one from a Skoda dealer in Swansea, Love the car but when you stop in traffic there seems to be some vibration in the cabin? Could it be the 3 cylinder engine? I drove the 110bhp version and it was impressive. Sadly no other 1.0 TSI Scalas for me to test drive. Very few Scalas locally outside of main dealers.

I test drove a Scala yesterday, do you notice a vibration in the cabin before the stop starts kicks in? In traffic lights especially,

Hi everyone I have just put a deposit on a 2022 Scala 1.0 SE, so exciting. The only downside is it does not have front parking sensors. The Skoda dealer i am buying it from in Swansea does not fit them. Any recommendations on if this would be possible, maybe with an independent Skoda garage? Thanks

I am also looking at 2020 Scalas. I have seen some low mileage ones for under 13k, which is cheaper than a Focus or Astra. They seem to have had good reviews. I have always had Vauxhalls. Although id imagine the parts and servicing would cost more on a Skoda?

Hi everyone I am looking to change my 2010 Astra. I notice the Skoda Scalas are well reviewed and are good value. What should i look out for? Any tips?
