  1. Have had this issue in the past and have documented it here. On software 1985 version now, but it has happened in the last few days again, kept the radio on and off overnight with the ignition off and car locked, and battery wouldn’t start the following afternoon. Two things I found have helped, screen cleaner on the screen and keeping the screen covered when not in the car. Might sound a bit cuckoo but it’s like when the sun hits the infotainment system and it gets hot, it starts going crazy and doing stuff by itself. I keep the infotainment covered now when it’s hot or when I’m out of the car and it seems to have worked.
  2. I recently had 1941. Opened up all my settings until the green light above my head beside the SOS call button was green. I then went ahead and connected to my houses wifi while parked in the drive. Less than 12 hours later, an update for 1985 appeared. Took a while to download and install over the next day or so, but it’s done.
  3. Is there anything that I need to have switched on in the infotainment system to enable updates? Currently on 1941 and no updates appearing.
  4. Has anyone got the latest update in Ireland or the UK yet?
  5. Back to having this issue. Radio turning on and off 100 times on a journey. Can’t restart it cause it turns itself off during the time it takes me to hold the off button down. Radio blasting itself in the car overnight when the car is locked and ignition off. 😒
  6. I’m on the 1941 and it’s constantly rebooting. Doesn’t happen when I first start, could take a few minutes to connect to the actual system and then after about 10 minutes it’ll start turning the radio on and off and then restarting completely. Over and over again. It also starts itself when the keys are inside the house and the radio starts blasting.
  7. That would make sense if it was true. Gonna book it into the main dealer and see what they say.
  8. I’ve tried the reset thing by holding the button down and then restored to factory settings. Will try again a couple of times and renter my email and details and do the keys and see does it help.
  9. No nothing plugged in at all. No USB. Even disconnecting the Bluetooth before I get in the car to try alleviate the issue, and have the privacy settings set to maximum private.
  10. Also to add to this the infotainment system turns itself on randomly when I’m inside the house. I could be in the sitting room with car locked and the system would start blaring music. I then have to go and unlock and lock the car again for it to turn off. The only way I’ve seen to fix this is to keep the key in a faraday box which isn’t suitable when out and about. Even with keys in a faraday box this morning, phone automatically connected to the car system when playing a video, even though car hasn’t been on all night and has been locked up.
  11. Hi! New here but have read this thread extensively. I am in a mk iv Octavia RS with software version 1941. My infotainment system seems to have a mind of its own. Endless restart after restart with that constant clicking noise. Multiple times with the RS logo appearing. Drove the car for about 90 minutes yesterday on a journey, happened the whole way after about 15 minutes in. Wondering is anyone having the same issue with the 1941 version? IMG_4849.mov
  12. Hi All! Happy to be joining you all from Ireland. Found this forum researching a specific issue with my Mk iv Octavia RS combi. Looking forward to being part of the forum and learning more!
