  1. I have the same issue, I struggle to make it work but I can make it work after really trying. My wife seems to be able to do it first time every time even though! Try bringing your foot up to the number and then back down again, not a side movement. Also make sure you have the easy open function enabled.
  2. I think I will look at changing the tyres then, but it pains me to do so since they only have a few hundred miles on them! What would be best Eagle F1 or Pilot Sport? Also is it worth increasing the profile to 45 instead of 40. Has anyone else done this?
  3. Yes I am disappointed by it, it’s really quite intrusive. What tyres did you change yours to?
  4. I’ve recently bought an Octavia VRS 2.0 TSI MK4 Estate and I have noticed there is quite a lot of road noise, particularly over 50mph. It kind of sounds like a wheel bearing, not the usual constant tyre road but i doubt it is a bearing since the car is new. The wheels are 19” with Bridgestone Potenza tyres with a 40 profile. I’ve heard these tyres are renowned for being loud however I wouldn’t have expected it to be this loud! My local Skoda dealer said it’s normal but it doesn’t sound normal to me. Does anyone else have the same problem?
  5. Thanks for the advice, I think probably I will go for the silver. It used to be quite common but now it seems grey has taken over, every other car you see is grey so I think the silver will be a bit different and contrasts well with the black trim.
  6. Looking at buying a new Octavia VRS but I can’t decide between Graphite Grey or Brilliant Silver. I like the contrasting black mirrors, grill and lettering and think that stands out on the silver but the grey maybe looks a bit more modern and sporty. Just wanting some opinions on the colours, pros, cons? Thanks.
