TonySnake! The only customer I wish we had never sold a car to! What a lovely man......... Please do not confuse the ramblings above with anything like a true reflection of the situation, which is thankfully now resolved. Any feedback good or bad can also be directed straight to me - [email protected] and contrary to opinion, my door is always open to do anything I can to help. Thanks. -

Hi - Sorry to hear about this - we do record all our calls and having listened to this one - its not strictly the way it went - and #2000 difference is about right considering the car wasn't the same as ours - but sorry anyway that you felt we let you down, especially after our chat just before. Oliver -
Depends on what the boss says, but he's got a few old Skods lying round the place and if this one turns out right we will definitely do another and if the finished article is as good as Darren says it will be, you never know we could always take on commissions!

Hi mate, To end this once and for all give me a call on 01522 508650 and I will give you all the details of the car down to the last nut and bolt. If the PDI stamp is from us, good chance we supplied it new...... Give me a call personally and I will sort it. Regards, Oliver Horton -
In the case of Mr Eadis, our standard practice is to cover ourselves with a potential diagnostic charge in the event that any faults are not covered under the warranty of the vehicle. The fact that this car was supplied by Rainworths not us is immaterial. If the system needs re-gassing - this is not covered under warranty and we would have had to have make a charge. We simply sought to gain permission to work on the car and if the fault is a manufacturing defect it would be covered under warranty with no charge whatsoever. This is exactly as we have been advised to do by Volkswagen Group Services Warranty Division. Apologies for any inconvience caused.

Skoda dealer VRS attempt on ebay
whitemarina replied to TrevorB33's topic in Skoda Fabia Mk II (2007-2014)
Winchester have it because their MD was sat next me in a hotel in Geneva when we went to the Geneva motor show and we discussed what we were doing. I sent him the part number for the springs and he adready did Revo! -
I would agree with the great advice on Revo and warranty. I will be honest and say I run a Skoda dealership and we are Revo dealers. The reality is that we are the ones that diagnose / fix and submit a warranty claim. It can of course then be rejected and we foot the bill. If the brand can link any aspect of a claim to the fact the car has been modified in anyway, they will of course reject the claim. Any guarantees that Winchester or I or any other dealers put on modified cars to supplement the manufacturer's warranty are at our own expense and terms, there is no other way around it and would always insist on something in black and white.

The argument from dealers who have a full blown setup will always be that they have to charge over and above independants as they have more invested and this has to be repaid. VAS 5052 £8k - and 1 is never enough! / BTAC Server £2k / Minimum Special Tools £25k ish / Training £10k a year. This is the bare minimum you would have to pay to run just a workshop. But that being said, if you want to keep running a dealer workshop you have to strike a careful balance between cost and the service you provide. £200 for a 20k s/v that includes a loan car and insurance / wash and vac and full peace of mind that they have used the right oil, parts, not cross threaded the sump, plus a good relationship with a dealer you can rely on for the odd bit of free advice is money well spent in my opinion And really the price should be on the job card when you drop your car off in the morning, or should be if they havent got a problem with the prices they charge....
