  3. The above Superb pics are indeed shocking - we use a VW Approved bodyshop and they will be covering all repairs to the customers ultimate satisfaction.
  4. TonySnake! The only customer I wish we had never sold a car to! What a lovely man......... Please do not confuse the ramblings above with anything like a true reflection of the situation, which is thankfully now resolved. Any feedback good or bad can also be directed straight to me - [email protected] and contrary to opinion, my door is always open to do anything I can to help. Thanks.
  5. Just spoken to Alan, prefer me to post it or do you want to come in?
  6. Hi - Sorry to hear about this - we do record all our calls and having listened to this one - its not strictly the way it went - and #2000 difference is about right considering the car wasn't the same as ours - but sorry anyway that you felt we let you down, especially after our chat just before. Oliver
  7. Depends on what the boss says, but he's got a few old Skods lying round the place and if this one turns out right we will definitely do another and if the finished article is as good as Darren says it will be, you never know we could always take on commissions!
  8. 1998 S - 43k - Going for no expense spared ££££ refurb!
  9. Hi - I have only just picked this up - if this hasnt been resolved, I will make sure it is. Could you call me on 01522 508650 and ask for Oliver? Thanks.
  10. Hi mate, To end this once and for all give me a call on 01522 508650 and I will give you all the details of the car down to the last nut and bolt. If the PDI stamp is from us, good chance we supplied it new...... Give me a call personally and I will sort it. Regards, Oliver Horton
  11. In the case of Mr Eadis, our standard practice is to cover ourselves with a potential diagnostic charge in the event that any faults are not covered under the warranty of the vehicle. The fact that this car was supplied by Rainworths not us is immaterial. If the system needs re-gassing - this is not covered under warranty and we would have had to have make a charge. We simply sought to gain permission to work on the car and if the fault is a manufacturing defect it would be covered under warranty with no charge whatsoever. This is exactly as we have been advised to do by Volkswagen Group Services Warranty Division. Apologies for any inconvience caused.
  12. Winchester have it because their MD was sat next me in a hotel in Geneva when we went to the Geneva motor show and we discussed what we were doing. I sent him the part number for the springs and he adready did Revo!
  13. I would agree with the great advice on Revo and warranty. I will be honest and say I run a Skoda dealership and we are Revo dealers. The reality is that we are the ones that diagnose / fix and submit a warranty claim. It can of course then be rejected and we foot the bill. If the brand can link any aspect of a claim to the fact the car has been modified in anyway, they will of course reject the claim. Any guarantees that Winchester or I or any other dealers put on modified cars to supplement the manufacturer's warranty are at our own expense and terms, there is no other way around it and would always insist on something in black and white.
  14. The argument from dealers who have a full blown setup will always be that they have to charge over and above independants as they have more invested and this has to be repaid. VAS 5052 £8k - and 1 is never enough! / BTAC Server £2k / Minimum Special Tools £25k ish / Training £10k a year. This is the bare minimum you would have to pay to run just a workshop. But that being said, if you want to keep running a dealer workshop you have to strike a careful balance between cost and the service you provide. £200 for a 20k s/v that includes a loan car and insurance / wash and vac and full peace of mind that they have used the right oil, parts, not cross threaded the sump, plus a good relationship with a dealer you can rely on for the odd bit of free advice is money well spent in my opinion And really the price should be on the job card when you drop your car off in the morning, or should be if they havent got a problem with the prices they charge....
  15. If I was an expert, I would have retired a rich man by now.... If I sold a few more parts, it might help.....
  16. Havent got a vested interest and am in the trade. Of course if I see Kevin with his 1.0L Corsa that hes banged 18"s on and tried to squeeze a Rover V8 under the bonnet, I will hit him the proverbials for his car. But like I said, limited numbers, good demand, strong RVs. Or maybe I am wrong.
  17. Thanks for the vote of confidence! I would agree with you, a bit of personalisation is always a good thing. This is kinda thinking out loud, but we could do the base work, remap, lower etc and then offer the basic version of the car and then if anyone wanted to we could play around a bit. Trouble is the price will keep going up as the options do....!
  18. Maybe got it wrong. Will wait 2 1/2 years and spend another £25g or so trying to get back all the vRS owners that have gone away to the wonderful Seat / Renault / VW alternatives, all with much better engines and value....or maybe not. Personally, you learn pretty quick in the motor trade, just because you have something for sale that you think is a good deal, it doesnt mean everybody else agrees. We will produce our version, publicise it soemwhere on this forum and see if anyone wants to part with their hard earned... Any I cant see why it would drop more than any other Fabia, and if there are only 50 or so of these things, I would even offer to buy them back in the future! Keep your eyes and ears open! (or dont)
  19. All 130 or so UK dealers have all made their feelings to the brand quite clear, we need a vRS now, not in 2 years. But as I said somewhere before, the brand do not see a vRS just for the UK in RHD format as economically viable to R&D and produce in what would be to them limited numbers. Just so you know we do try, a few weeks ago at the Geneva motor show, myself and few other dealers we lucky enough to meet with Dr Fred Keppler, who sits on the Skoda Auto and VWG boards. He was left in no doubt that we in UK would dearly love a Fabia vRS variant just as soon as we can get it. But, it aint going to happen. So what do we do? The idea to develop our own version is a reactive measure to the interest in the previously expected factory vRS following the Fabia A05 launch last year. If and when we finalise it, we only plan on a limited number (of our own version) and wouldnt bother if I didnt think it offered people genuine value and a real alternative to leaving the brand altogether to Seat, Honda et al.
  20. If he gets his finger out we could get a spec sheet with photies and a good idea of price late next week. I think we can sudsidise the warranty liability to 'top up' any liability / additonal cover needed for the upgrade (but please do not quote me on this yet. We have not finalised it.) Will be interested to see what anyone thinks when I can give you all the details.
  21. I will order about 250 fabias from the factory this year in various guises and I'm sure that if you could spec em with Sports seats I would know. The only way you may be able to do it is to ask Skoda UK for a 'special' but they may still say no. But..at the minute the ordering system will not let you do it.
  22. No way to add Sport interior to a standard Fabia. Unless your dealer buys the seats as parts (if you can) and then you retro fit
  23. Pretty much, yeah, Price will come in at under £15k, but final specs are being worked on at the minute.
