I've been looking at getting some springs for my 2023 vRS Diesel 4x4 hatchback. Choice is limited to Racing Line or H&R for this spec, never used either before, always had Eibach on previous cars. Is there much difference in quality? The Racing Line springs are £50 cheaper which is a pull! I'm not really bothered about lowering it, I just want a slightly firmer set up (car has passive, non-DCC suspension). Drove back from Edinburgh last weekend and over the North Yorks. Moors this weekend, it really pitched and rolled on some of the road surfaces - been driving an i30N for the last four years so got used to this! I don't like the 'slammed' look, so leaning towards the Racing Line as it's less of a drop, but they aren't a brand I've used before. I'll probably also get some wheel spacers at the same time.

I've used a rectangular wireless charger that I had lying about the house. Just about fits in the space (little bit of forcing, doesn't sit perfectly flat) with a short cable. Granted, not as neat, but you can't really see it unless you specifically look and it cost about £15 for the cable!

Only had mine for 3k miles, but early indications are it's ok on long journeys. Recently drove to Edinburgh, approx. 4.5hrs and over 200 miles, felt absolutely fine.

Bought mine in November, not regretted it. Yes, it’s clearly not going to be as fast as your current car, so you’ll have to decide whether that’s something you can live with or not. It’s not particularly slow, I came from an i30N Performance and it doesn’t feel a huge step down. Comfy enough inside, well specced and very modern.

Fair enough! I'll have to see how I'm fixed later in the year.

Thanks all. I used the grade on the engine bay sticker, seemed the most sensible option!

Sorry to bump this thread, but I’ve just had a top up warning on my 3 month old diesel vRS 4x4 so read this the other day and was about to buy this spec, but looking at the sticker in the engine bay it says VW 504 00/VW 507 00. So I’m slightly confused!

Bought my brand new Octavia vRS from here last month. Very pleasant, very efficient, very friendly. Can't praise them enough to be honest,

In fairness they’re going to replace the module, I was trying to be ‘helpful’ by querying whether an update to 1941 might sort it.

Bought my brand new vRS Diesel about a month ago, five days in I got this warning: Posting on a Facebook Owner’s forum found this was relatively common, and may be fixed by a software update to version 1941 (mine is currently 1940), or module replacement if this doesn’t work. I bought the car from the other side of the country, so taking it to them wasn’t a viable option. I called my local Dealer and booked it in for the first available weekend slot. They confirmed that they’d try a software update first, and if this didn’t work then replace the module. Went in yesterday and left it with them for an hour or so, they rang to tell me that the update hadn’t worked and so they’d look at getting a new module and replacing it: fair enough. Got back to my car and checked the software - still 1940. Went back inside to query it, the lady went to speak to the technician before coming back and saying that the software for the SOS module was on the latest version. I apologised for being an internet expert, but explained that when looking online lots of owners had said the 1941 update solved a lot of errors, so I thought that was what was being done. Also, if 1941 is the latest version, why wouldn’t they update my brand new car with it? Back she went, before returning and repeating what the technician had said earlier. Regarding the 1941 update, she said that software updates go out over the air and get released in batches, it obviously hadn’t got to my car yet. Again I said that looking online, owners had been updated to 1941 since at least August, and they had said they had had to go to the Dealership to have it done: again I was told it would go over the air and I would get it when Skoda thought my car needed it(!) So: 1) Was she correct and I have misinterpreted things online? Or: 2) I am correct, and I’d be better off using a different Dealership? Thanks!
