Just got an email, "We need to inform you about the important decision, that from July 1, 2025, Škoda Connect LITE will be discontinued. After this date, the service will no longer be available at stores and the application will be turned off."
I bought the bluetooth dongle and it's not clear to me whether it will have any use after this shutdown. I'm still fairly new to Skoda and and really hate this sort of planned obsolescence and obfuscation. My Karoq currently has a check engine light but doesn't tell me what the problem is. A recent inspection service by a dealer didn't tell me anything about it either. I have to use a third-party plug-in to read the OBD port and tell me that it's a P0441 purge warning. I had hoped that the Connect LIte feature would have this facility too but so far it has been useless. So, de-supporting a useless feature makes some sense but this doesn't encourage me to buy Skoda again.
