  1. So, been a while since this bug is about. After some reading, i do belive that when you power on, main computer checks for faults too soon, before PDC had time to boot up, so it gives an error like not working sub-system. With this in mind i tried to just give it power to aux (kessy car, press button without clutch or brake, so it only powers electronics), then after few sec start car. This is second week of doing that on each start, so far no PDC fail errors. Try it out, im wondering will it work for others, or i just had lucky starts
  2. Im waiting for @ALBACORE and his PDC change. If it fixes it, gonna pull warranty out and demand module change aswell.
  3. Yeah, 1941 seems to cause it. Ive got a topic on same problem as well. People are reporting it also. Best response i got from any dealer/shop was to wait it out till next sw update. TBH im now so used to it, that i wait for a ding sound on every start
  4. Got an update! Been getting notification that there are updates available. Most annoying part is that it was per Murphys law always when i need car quick, or away from home. So being saturday, i sat in car in morning and waited for notification. It came, i clicked install and per request, left and locked car. In afternoon i got in, msg that updates were successful. Been driving almost whole afternoon with frequent stops, not once did i get that warning... I know update mentioned store and nav systems only, but could it have been a hotfix in the background aswell? Im hoping, yes.
  5. Hey guys, tried to search for a topic, cant find any, so im starting new one. My Octi sometimes behaves strange (mostly in cold weather?). On start, normal, when I first put it into reverse, camera pops on infotaiment, but car dings, beeps, shows warning triangle with park assist not avalible. If i leave it it will sometimes even show Park assist failure.(rare). Now funny thing, I just turn it off and back on, and everything works like normal. Then after few days again and so on.. Tried to connect it to read faults, not one gets stored. Tried to take it to skoda dealer for service, got it back in few days saying they cant replicate the problem. After more insisting, it was kept for few days more and they saw it eventualy. No faults recorded aswell. they took rear bumper off, check wires and sensors, all good. Chief mechanic even told me they tried to contact Skoda about it. Epilogue is that "Its software bug, keep an eye on updates, should be fixed by next one" Anyone had similar issues? Im guessing if its software related, it would happen on more vehicles, yet i cant find any topics on net about it. Its not ground breaking, but anoying. I even had some ideas to ask for whole new wire loom while car is in warranty.
  6. Hi everyone, im Ceda, probably hard to say in english, so just call me ced, i just got me an second hand octavia mark 4 1.5 TSI in style trim, 2021. Here to talk about cars, learn something new about skodas and enjoy my car. Been driving VW Golf mk5 for last 12 yrs, loved it, never left me by side of road, now in Skoda world, hoping my new car will do at least half of what golf did.
