Hi All and hello,
New to the world of Skoda ownership and looking to buy a Yeti at long last. I've spent quite a bit of time nailing down what I'd like and also things to look out for, especially a robust service history including timing belt and water pump.
So, I'm now being distracted by a shiny example that looks lovely but the service records are patchy to say the least. But it looks nice and shiny.....
its a 2014 (64) 2L tdi SE140 on 96k. 50k of those miles in the last 3 years, going by the MOT data. This is also where the service history disappears. The seller says documentation shows serviced at 32k and 51k but no proof of anything after that.
The garage is asking just over £7000 and offering to change the timing belt and water pump for an additional £400.
I know the diesels are good for the miles, but just not knowing if it's been looked after or ragged and offloaded. I've got all the receipts for my current car as that's what you always do.
Convince me to walk away, as it's shiny and lovely. But might die...
Cheers
Pete
