  6. Thankyou i have taken the car to an Automatic Specialist YESTERDAY who done a diagnostics and told me the same thing i already new code po753,he wants to book in for further investigation,im told it could be low oil in gearbox, bad tcm or transmission solenoid, the thing is the problem is intermittent, the gear reading display on the dashboard shows p.r.n.d.s and the number gear you are in and totaly works and drives fine, another time you will get into vehicle prnds all blacked out and no gear number showing, and limp mode, could this be a low oil if it was would it show on dashboard as a warnig light, could a faulty tcm, effect the operation of the transmission solenoid,or could it just be the solenoid causing all the problems,in which case why would the car run approx 5 miles perfectly before it goes back into limp mode, what would you do,and where should i start.ALSO IS THE SOLENOID IN THE GEARBOX.
  7. 8. I recently asked if anyone could help to identify the location of the transmission control unit on a 2009 1.6 petrol automatic roomster,as i have experienced intermittent loss of drive and vehicle goes into safe mode, with obd reading ou101 and po753,I have now found it,if it helps the tcm is fixed to the rear of the battery cover and the ecu is fixed to the bulkhead behind it.

  10. THANKYOU I THINK YOU ARE CORRECT,I HAVE NOT LONG OWNED THE VEHICLE,AND STILL GETTING USED TO THE CONTROLS I HAVE CHECKED THE GEAR LEVER AND NOTICED IT MOVES TO THE RIGHT HAND SIDE WHEN IN DRIVE WHICH I NOW PRESUME WOULD BE FOR A MANUAL TYPE OPERATION OF THE GEARS,BUT I AM STILL LOOKING FOR THE LOCATION OF THE T.C.M FOR FUTURE REPLACEMENT,AS I SUSPECT ITS FAULTY.
  11. Thankyou faultcode reader says problem with T.C.M thats why im trying to locate it,the gearbox oil is ok and its not tipronic, its a normal automatic.
