  1. Hi I've been reading some excellent advice on the forum regarding springs for Octavia MK3. I recently bought a 2010 superb MK2 elegance 170bhp. I want to increase the ride height slightly as would be achieved with the rough road package. I bought some 225/50r17 which I had read people were fitting to their superbs without issue. However, mine has a very slight rub on full lock on the right front wheel only (this might be because the alloys are from an Audi with a different offset). I'm used to driving land.rovers and my country lifestyle means I would like a slight increase in clearance anyway. I read advice about going for springs from earlier years as they were stiffer on the rear. But I'm unsure if that would apply to front springs too? Do I just find the codes for an early dsg superb as they would be the stiffest option?? Quote " Up until about 2008 Skoda did fit firm rear springs to the Octavia and Superb, but many owners weren't carrying much weight around in the back so they found the standard suspension too hard. Hence around this time Skoda started fitted rear springs that were two weight ranges softer. All you have to do is go back to what Skoda did before they softened the rear suspension. You probably have 5Q0511121AD or 5Q0511121AE rear springs. Simply change these to 5Q0511121AF or 5Q0511121AG rear springs." It would be great if those here could offer me any advice.
  2. Hi. I know this post is three years old but it's the exact problem I'm having on my Superb. Can anyone help or the original poster let me know if they found a solution? Thanks
