Rite i replaced the diverter valve reset ecu disconnected the battery for 10 mins checked the actuator and its still the same any ideas ?? I presume if it was a coild pack or plug it would show up a code ??

Forgot to say the car as been whistling like i have a dump valve for the last few weeks even tho i havent got 1 on

Ive got a 2012 tfsi and when i was driving it all of a sudden the car started like misfiring. Ie car judders around 2k then goes but wont go over 4k. Ive had the aa plug it in and theres no error codes at all no lights on the dash. So i thought boost leak but its been checked out and no leaks found all clips tightened up. So i was thinking diverter valve?? If so how do i order the rite 1 without taking the othe 1 off first?? Tia

The garage is fitting a new 1 just to see if that is the problem thanks

My 2012 tsi had a dead batt so charged it up fine put it back on the car had powersteering lights traction control and tyre pressure o. Did what was told and turned wheel left to right and all fine. Then 2 days later batt dead again so put another batt on then all of a sudden no power steering same lights on along with battery light so got the aa out and they diagnosed alternator so had a new 1 fitted along with new batt. Still have the same issues red light power steering (no power steering at all )batt light still on and alternator still not charging. Any ideas ??? Tia

Had the aa out and they've said its the alternator. Ive got 1 bein fitted 2moz by a m8. Might get a new batt as well as ive no idea how old it is . Thanks for the reply tho

Hi how easy is it to change the alternator on vrs tsi. From what i can see is 4 bolts remove the cannister at the side of it but there doesnt seem to be alot of room?? Reason i ask is the battery died while i was in hosp over 3 weeks. Recharged the battery but now the alternator isnt charging only 12.05 when running at 2500rpm so guessing its toast. Tia

Thanks for info i have been told to put a 30 amp relay in place to give a continuous feed rather than the pulse that the canbus gives

Hi any1 got a wiring diagram for a 2012 vrs mainly lights (rear) i need the colour wire for the reversing lights . Im fiiting a rear camera and need to find the wires for the auto activation for camera .. Tia

I have a 2012 vrs tfsi ive heard that some may have a defective tensioner??? How do i find out if i have the uprated 1 or not?? Thanks

Rite peeps i have a 2012 octavia vrs tfsi. I got it mid jan and ive gotta say i luv it. Its got full skoda service history had new clutch new discs pads and new tyres all round. Went on a 50mile round trip av 50/60 mph on country roads and got 41.9 mpg . It drives lovely an smooth. Only thing that bugs me is no blue tooth but that can easily be done. So thanks for the add Keith
