Hello I have some vibration through my steering wheel after hitting a big pot hole at speed. On taking the car to the garage for a wheel alignment I've been told the rear axle is bent and there is no way to adjust it to correct the wheel alignment. After trying to find a replacement axle second hand and having no luck, Iwant to give an EZ shim a go. There are full videos of install instructions for the shim but what I need to know is which bolts to order to use, as they need to be longer to account for the shim? Hello Exkiwi Thank you for trying to help I have figured out that the FEC/SWAP codes are not installed properly, including the code for Bluetooth. This is because my infotainment unit failed and the unit I installed has component protection removed but the codes in it are still showing the VIN the unit came out of, not my VIN. I'm getting Skoda to get me a new glovebox unit. Not cheap but everything in my car will work again.

Hello Does anyone know if it is possible to swap a memory chip out of a failed information unit into a replacement part to get around the coding issues? My unit failed so I have no access to get the VCRN off it to gain FEC SWAP codes to use for the replacement unit. I haven't had any luck with this but guess that the tire selection may be wrong for a start. My Fabia is Monte Carlo version with 17" wheels and if the unit came from a vehicle with different tyres surely this will not work. On trying to change the tyre selection the codes are not being accepted, do it will not change. There are only 3 options and the vehicle has 3 tyres in the air pressure settings on the fuel flap so these settings may relate to those 3 different tyre sizes.

A late update on this post. I did buy a used replacement unit only cheaply and easily installed it. No issues since. Thank you Pab567

Hello I have replaced my infotainment unit after the factory one failed. In tyres settings it only has a winter tyres option and no tyre pressure reset, as the old failed unit had. I have OBD11 2 and guess coding may fix this. The vehicle the unit came from may not have had TPMS installed or activated so I need to figure out how to turn it on. The TPMS in the Fabia works through the ABS system so there are no pressure sensors installed in the tyre valves. Pressing the Car button on the unit and going to tyres gets me stuck at this screen with Starting on the side and the spinning loading icon. Thank you for any help with solving this.

Hello I have purchased a replacement infotainment control system to install in my Skoda Fabia III Monte Carlo 81TSI The screen is displaying a white standatd wagon nit monte carlo and my Fabia is a Blue hatch. I've seen posts about changing this in different models but it didn't show the codes for all models, colours, and styles. Can someone please help me to code this with OBD11. I have installed a second hand unit in Fabia 3 and had Skoda unlock it but the reverse camera wont work, i cant reset tyre pressure loss system, and bluetooth wont connect. I have Device part number 5Q0035842C Hardware H41 Software 0471 Thank you for any help

Thank you for the reply All buttons were working a week ago before I had the headunit looked at as it has failed. I took it back to the mechanic as the other 3 buttons were not working and left with these 3 working, I'm not sure what they done. It's like there is no spring under these buttons and they are further in than the ones that function when pressed.

My car is a 2018 Fabia Monte Carlo 81TSI These buttons on the heater/aircon controls are not working and the lights have gone out. Any ideas on what is broken here or how to fix it would be great please
