  1. People, no one has mentioned the insurance angle. The various Departments of not paying out employed by most companies would be interested in the technicalities. Anything appearing to be an unsafe mod could lead to cover problems. No offence meant to those departments. They’re just doing a strict job. Just saying.
  2. Thanks for the replies. I have the car back now. It is running well and the garage assured me that they had checked as many connectors as they could get to - including at the water bottle,. So, fingers crossed for now.
  3. My 2017 Kodiak 1.4 has needed a few new parts. One was the secondary water pump. After fitting, the garage was getting some fault codes (not specified to me) and said they had found a few connectors wet. One or two had corroded contacts. New wiring is on theway to be fitted. I wondered if anyone had had this problem? The garage says it is rare in their experience.
  4. I am having often reported problems of electronics going wrong after a battery change. VAG specialist with excellent feedback says "Checked for battery management and the vehicle does not have this feature installed". I have an Autophix 7610 scanner which says the vehicle is not equipped with a battery regulation system but to select "Gateway" to give battery information. I have tried that myself but the problems still persist. Should I mention this to the garage in case their system can do better?
  5. Just following my sign on instuctions to say hello and assuming my user name is automatically populated. I have a 2017 Kodiaq with electronic madness following a battery change so will be posting on an appropriate help section soon.
