Steering Angle Sensor reset fabia 2020 NJ
to update this and for future reference for others..vcds also gave me "aborted due to malfunction " message when i was trying to calibrate the steering angle sensor in module 44. It turned out after many hours of research, testing, asking questions ll over the place that I am in fact a muppet and had not noticed that the rearmost wiring connector on the steering column and behind the window wiper stalk was not connected properly. whilst i feel like such a fool, it may help someone in the future. If you are getting a similar message, check all your wiring connectors behind the steering wheel.

Steering Angle Sensor reset fabia 2020 NJ
ah August 25 , another Skoda Fabia and another P160900 and the associated nonsense. This time its a 2017 monte carlo and this time the X341 elte pro wont even let me in. I keep getting Need Access Approval. Perform Login (NRC$33). This has driven me to the edge. I have been in touch with China( its the China one-same but China). If anyone else has experienced this and overcome it please let me know how. I have since bought VCDS and got into module 44 and cleared the P160900 fault. Now just left with the steering angle sensor fault and trying to overcome that.

You couldn't make this up, but this little bugger was the cause of all my remaining issues after sorting the steering angle sensor problem. Luckily, i had a spare one. All sorted and ready for MOT. Thanks for all your responses that gave me encouragement.

Steering Angle Sensor reset fabia 2020 NJ
So, after watching literally tens or even thirties of videos of other people resetting the steering angle sensor i finally did it and it was very simple in the end. I seem to have misunderstood what was required and after going into basic settings>steering angle sensor>adjust i actually turned wheel left 3 secs> right 3 secs and then centre and then pressed stop . I then did it again but without the scanner and the lights went out. I then scanned the car again and all faults related to the sensor have gone. I had been doing it without the scanner and without pressing adjust first. i live and learn. i am now left with: 03 Brake Electronics 1 problem exist 1.C114602 Tire Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS) - Signal Malfunction 09 Electronic Central Electric 1 problem exist 1.B103F1A Outside Temperature Sensor - Resistance Too Low 13 Distance Regulation 1 problem exist 1.U112300 Databus Error Value Received 17 Instrument Cluster 1 problem exist 1.U112300 Databus Error Value Received The ambient temp sensor looked a bit worse for wear when i refitted the bumper as did the connector to the radar sensor so hopefully those will be relatively simple. The TPMS is not clearing using the tried and tested method, and it tells me that function is not available. The wheel did have a new tyre, paranoid me is wondering if the chap fitted the right valve. i will play with these things at the weekend.

Steering Angle Sensor reset fabia 2020 NJ
well, i am starting to pull my hair out...what's left of it. The end stops not learned will not go away with the traditional techniques. The steering angle no basic setting will not go away until end stops go away so stuck in a catch 22 loop. i am going to try a few basic checks over the vehicle tomorrow such as battery terminals, all sensors connected and wiring complete in the areas i worked on. However, if any one sees something jump out from the fault codes please do chirp up. I have used OBD11 until that wouldnt go any further and then i have used launch 431. im hoping its some schoolboy error or i am going to have to bite the bullet and take it to someone with dealer software and knowledge which generally means pants pulled down. fault data.pdf

Steering Angle Sensor reset fabia 2020 NJ
thanks for the replies. the car is all back together, I had bumper off for respray and fitted another wing as that was damaged. The codes i have are shown in the screenshots below. I have only attached the detail of the steering assistance codes at the moment as, rightly or wrongly, this is the focus of my attention at the moment. I have no power steering at all. I think the tpms is related to the steering, but again the steering is the main focus right now. I have followed the tips in the links above in particular: 1. Go for a drive and slowly find a safe spot to straighten your steering wheel as best as you can 2. While in park with the engine running, go to Control Unit then Steering Assistance (44) or "steering column". Go to Basic Settings then Steering Angle Sensor, initialization. 3. Go to Live Data and search for Steering Angle Sensor, Angle, put in the security code. 4. Take note of what angle your reading is that so you'll know if the Calibration worked afterward. 5. Go back for Steering Assistance (44) or "steering column" and go to Basic Settings then Steering Angle Sensor 6. Start the calibration, from the center then your steering wheel all the way to the right, and hold for 5 seconds, then back to the center real quick and all the way to the left and hold for five seconds. Now back to the center and hold for 10 seconds. 7. Wait for about a minute and a half, and go ahead and stop the calibration by holding the stop button down. 8. Turn off the engine, remove key, open door, close the door. 9. Turn on the engine, and your dash should light up like a Christmas tree. With tire calibration and ECS. That's how you know it's working. 10. Go back to OBDEleven, scan the car for faults. Clear the faults. 11. Go to the steering stops calibration step : steering column" / Basic settings / Sterring angle Sensor Zero calibration w/ steer. wheel scales / Start – Turn totally at right (bip) and totally at left (bip), center – If no bip - Turn totally at left (bip) and totally at right (bip) / Stop – back – Scan fault / Clear Fault My observations are that i have no power steering. When i go into 44 steering assistance and then basic settings, i do not get an option for calibration. I have attached the options (last or first photo however they upload) i do get but i am wary to start . I did go into steering anngle sensor, zero calibration w steer. wheel scale but got function not available. Im on OBD Pro...is this an upgrade or is there another issue? My experience of using this is limited but i have repaired several cars with dash warnings. Its usually been the case that identify fault replace part remove code...this seems a bit more advanced. please help if you can.

Steering Angle Sensor reset fabia 2020 NJ
Hi all. Happy new year. I have replaced the steering rack on my 2020 Fabia after damage to the rack in a shunt. Replaced genuine part, scanned car, no codes with OBD2. The steering only turns half turn to left whilst 1 and a half to the right. I thought i may have installed the rack wrong when re-attaching the column...that may be true- i don't know yet. Before i get into that, is there a way to reset the steering angle sensor without scanner and also with an obd2(that's all i have). If i jack it up with wheels off floor the steering gives me 1 and a half turns in each direction. Any advice would be welcomed.

Does the Mark three Fabia have rear disc brakes?
has anyone retrofitted the rear disc brakes to a drum brake model? I have a salvage car with rear disc 2019 1.0 tsi and i want to put the rear discs on my 2020 tsi that has drums. Would be interested to know if this is relatively straightforward or if their are pitfalls which i will inevitably fall down?
