We have never resolved our Amundsen issues either. We went on a couple of longer journeys over the summer. The satnav went completely "mad". The map display started jumping about literally all over the place, showing our location as 50 miles or more away from actual but continually changing. What I found most strange was that the locations it was showing were neither where we had been on our journey nor were they anywhere near our route home. I pulled over and switched off the ignition hoping that the system would "reboot". But the problems persisted until we arrived home hours later. After an hour at home, I tried again, and the satnav was working normally. Stupid Scala! It is my understanding that a hard disk can be connected to the cars USB c connector and updates can be loaded from a file. But I cannot find the files on the abysmal Skoda website.

I hope it all works out for you. Our software version is at 0156. We have never got the profile/connection issue sorted but it has never just hung up. So the nav works, radio, basic phone bluetooth connection and car settings etc. I don't think we should have to pay anything for updates to work. I don't pay Google to update android on my phone. I just wish there was a way to turn off the "error" messages.

Yes it was the main dealer, the same one we bought the car from and where it was serviced last year. I think the price is the "standard" quote for diagnostics/labour rate per hour. They offer a service plan for £37.50 per month for two years which includes two services, AA membership (restricted) and a warranty plan with more exclusions than benefits. We were quoted over £500 for a service alone. The car has only done about 13,000 miles.

We just happened to be at the dealership this morning. Two employees tried to set up profile connection. Both were clueless as to why it won't work, they just did what we have already done many times ourselves. We were told to book the car in for a whole day, so that they could "make sure everything is working"! I think we will just cancel and go elsewhere for regular services. Hope you didn't waste your money on the extended warranty package.

The car belongs to my wife. She says she likes driving it and she just ignores the user profile messages and the fact that the maps are totally out of date. I wish she would sell it but not my decision. As far as I can work out, none of the extra functionality works unless you pay for connect services from Skoda. We have just today tried Android Auto and that seems to work - Google maps, hooray!

We have exactly the same issues and have had for over two years. Never resolved by the dealership. They want to charge £138 per hour to do updates and then of course you have to subscribe to service with annual fee. My advice: get rid of the bloody thing now whilst you still have your sanity.
