  1. Thanks have all the answers now
  2. have one on my Subaru which we love. Can be opened from the back, from inside and from a remote. have looked at Parkers guide and thru the specs for diff trims but cant see which model have them OR is it a special order when new???
  3. isnt it a home visit service?
  4. No fitting in east Cornwall!
  5. We also towed all around the EU in our C5 years ago, in the peak of summer and never had a problem. The C5 was also an auto and like you, we used the manual side of the auto box , was much better. TY
  6. TA read about the weight plate and obvs thats a must have. We will only be towing 250 kg max....and looking just for a reg ball end
  7. Yes, I am reading up on towbar fitting on faceache and the Karoq forums..... All this BS about extra fans etc is nonsense......
  8. Looking to replace the Subaru....we love it to bits as it does everything for us....BUT....you new that was coming didnt you...it does 25 mpg towing and 30 on a good day. We had a small hatchback for all the local stuff but that has now died to we are looking to replace 2 with one....so thats a smaller SUV ish, with good mpg that also can tow a small trailer when needed 3 times a month, 20 miles max, around 250kg. So its narrowed down to an Ateca or Karoq. We know the differances between the 2 and prefer the Karoq BUT a quick look with towbar express has a £900 to fit! I nearly fainted and my wallet started to cry. So we have many ?? But have you fitted a bar yourself/had a company done it????
  9. We really must have a towbar on our next car......Looking at a karoq OR an Ateca. I have read that some cars are pre prepped at factory, but what about aftermarket fitting. I dont need all the fancy cooling fans etc, have never needed anything like that on previous vehicles with a towbar...whats so special about Skodas?? Have YOU fitted an aftermarket one or had one done for you????
