  1. Hi everyone, Can anybody suggest an alternative to fuse 47 (rear wiper) for tapping the Nextbase Dashcam, I earlier used it but had issues with rear wiper not functioning properly stopping before a full wipe. Thanks.
  2. Hi , I came here to post something I encountered recently with my Skoda Karoq, it happened during snowfall when car was parked and I tried to clean the rear wind screen by activating the rear wipers, it failed to move and I also realised the Dashcam isn't getting any power. It seems like the rear wiper fuse had gone bad, because it is the same fuse where I connect the Dashcam wire as well. Also, the rear wiper when it was in working state had issues like, intermittently stopping (not reaching full wipe) and starting when rear wiper is activated. Anyways, I will check the fuse and update. Thanks
  3. Hi @thamestrader , It was quite easy job to do. Before cleaning it, I even swap driver side and passenger side to make sure the problem is with the washer jet, which eventually proved it was a problem with the passenger side. Steps: Open the bonnet. Simply use your hand to remove the washer jet (use your fingers to pull out with little force, don't worry it doesn't break). they you need to turn 180 degree the washer jet, then, there's a small clip which connects the jet with the pipe, which needs to be turned about 90 degree and the washer jet will easily be disconnected. (I saw this in a Youtube video : https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xytmmAhUrHM ) just follow the video. For cleaning you can use a straight tooth floss, bare wire, and you can blow air into the hole of the washer, it should be clear.

  5. Hi @sussamb , Thanks for your reply. I actually did some homework on the part not working, so, I took it off from the car and cleaned it with a pin and it seem to have been blocked with debris from a low washer fluid situation. Now, I put it back on to the car and works fine. Anyways, I have a link to order the spare part from Skoda if anybody needs it: https://skodapartsdirect.co.uk/product/skoda-various-models-2015-2024-front-washer-jet/ Thanks, Heisnam
  6. Hi Guys, I have got to replace one of the front windscreen washer jet for my Skoda Karoq 1.5 TSI 2020, so, any suggestions which make to buy? Regarding this topic, does the original washer jets comes with heated feature? I won't bother much if they are not heated type. Thanks. Heisnam
  7. I had my 4th year servicing for Karoq 1.5 TSI recently, I am satisfied with their service. They did a under body check for free and sent me a full video of visual inspection underneath the body. They finished the job in expected timeline. Good explanations for the jobs to be carried out pre servicing. They didn't push you to do anything, it's upto me to decide whether extra jobs needed to be done. Full servicing report is given to me after it's done.
  8. Thanks so much for all your responses, very helpful in many ways. The Cardboard technique as suggested is very interesting, I would try that out. It's amazing to find wonderful people here trying to help out. Thanks very much again. Have a great day!
  9. Hello Everyone, Is there a possibility of parking assists interfering or causing malfunction to the manual transmission system? I'm asking this because, I have experienced something strange with my Skoda Karoq 2020 1.5TSI (SE). Sometimes when I park my car by reversing in front of a wall or bush too close, I have my rear parking sensors activated as expected (beeping quickly). No problem with that. The parking area is a plain surface (no slope). But, the issue arises when I engage first gear and slowly lift my clutch, the rear parking sensors still beeping and the car moves in reverse instead of forward. I'm bit tensed at this situation now. It only seems to get fixed after I turned off the ignition and wait for the dashboard display to go off and re-start the ignition. Also I've experienced the same problem front parking, car moves front instead of reverse when reverse gear was engaged. It seems to occur only when I park the car too close to the wall/object (front or rear). Could this be a problem not related to the parking sensors at all or could it be a transmission system malfunction? I am planning to go and see my local Skoda dealer to check for it. Any information is much appreciated. Thanks, Heisnam
  10. Thanks @thamestrader for your comment. Sorry, I think I missed to mention it's a Manual Transmission. I agree with you, that's the correct way of doing it. But, my feeling is, Is there any chance that parking sensors causing issues with the transmission system/manual gear shifting? If I notice the same problem again, I will try to record it. Also, another option could be to disable the parking assists to prevent this problem, if you agree. Thanks a lot. Cheers.
  11. Hi Everyone, I'm new to this forum. Recently I purchased a used Skoda Karoq 2020 model petrol 1.5 TSI. It's running smoothly until I have experienced issues while trying to move out after parking the car. The situation is, when I forward park the car and the front parking sensors gets activated, I turned off the ignition and changed the gear to neutral. Issue is when I turned on the ignition and tried to move reverse, front parking sensor is still active and car moves in front (towards the bushes/ wall) . I checked if I put the wrong gear, but I put the correct reverse gear. Still the car moves front. I turned off ignition couple of times, still no correction. Then, I turned off the auto parking button and auto hold functions. Then, I was able to move safely out reverse. It's very annoying and my car keeps pushing towards the wall or bushes and I can't do anything. I have noticed this while parking reverse as well. I hope you understand what I wanted to say. Thanks for your patience. Please drop a reply if you know about this issue. Much appreciated. Thanks. Heisnam
