  1. Is this the one you mentioning? I had a look at all the wiring but look in detail and open the loom and check. Thanks
  2. Wires chewed off at the base. Almost impossible to dismantle these. Somehow managed but damaged them a bit. Ordered for a new one but will use new pins and make the connection to check if the engine fires up. No supply to one retards engine firing?
  3. This is really helpful. I should now be able proceed with some base data in hand. Without it, it was getting rather tricky. Election season over, we had a the same extended over 72 days, can you believe that. Nice to see a group where politics also gets discussed while fixing cars
  4. Indeed it is. Thank you for pointing out. In that case, no supply to one injector retards firing of the engine? Thank you
  5. While tracing the wires to the sensor found this. The wire to the second spark plug was cut. Checked the raw wire and other connectors. One lead on to batter and one on the port got me reading of 0.6 and 3.35 on the other. I am assuming that the wires are good. Will repair the cut portion and see if that helps in the firing of the engine. If 2 spark plugs are connected why does the engine not fire? Is there a retard if one is electrically disconnected. Have no got a single fault code so far. Can someone please respond and guide if possible..
  6. Will it be possible for you to share engine bay diagram, electrical layout. I do not have any repair manuals/drawings/diagrams of any sort. Practically groping in the dark. With manuals it will really help. Hope you can point in the direction where I can get them in case you do not have them with you. Thank you
  7. Also noticed that the front wipers are activated when the battery is at very low voltage. Charged the batteries fully with Bosch C3 charger (took more than 26 hours) and wipers have stopped coming on automatically now when inserting the key in ignition.
  8. Super. This really helps in pinpointing the fault location. Let me know your views where should I start with after rechecking the fuses. Crank sensor failure I suppose would be the last in this line. Also, I have a multimeter and continuity light checking device. Thanks

  10. So far have dismantled the front wheels, disk, pad and refurbished the same. Only pads were replaced as they were corroded beyond salvage. The disks were skimmed at a local shop. Tor30 screw holding the disk were corroded and had to drill out one of them to dismantle the disk. Left wheel is entirely assembled, will take up the right wheel soon.
  11. Even I though so but I also read that MK2 does not show rpm unless engine starts. Is it true, can you check if your rpm needle moves while cranking without ignition.
  12. I have put in fresh fuel but not flushed it. How do you flush the fuel? do you do it at the filter level or at the rail level?
  13. Hi, I am based in Goa/Mumbai India. Had to abandon my Fabia 1.2 HTP in Mumbai to shift to Goa before the pandemic lockdowns were enforced. We have now returned and except for being superficially washed, the car sat idle for 4 years. As expected, there is rust which I have managed to dismantle the wheels and changed pads. The core concern is that it is cranking but not firing. The RPM meter does not move while cranking. I have no manuals, drawings or way to proceed on this. I am putting this out for help and guidance in reviving my Fabia. I own a Fiat Linea T Jet and in India we do have a forum and technical group with help of which I manage to do all works on the car. With Fabia it is becoming a challenge as I have no tech support. I have the equipment and will to execute need help how to start identifying and resolving crank but no fire issue in fabia. Thank you all in advance.
