Any Skoda History book available ?
bradley.mcmullan replied to John Edwards's topic in Skoda History
It’s ten years since I last posted on this thread! Anyway, I’m currently sat in the museum cafe, Mlada Boleslav, having just purchased a boxed set of history books, Skoda in three instalments from the start up to 2018. 1101 czk which is about £38... also a nice little read is the path to the favorit book at 300czk or about a tenner. Cheers all!. -
Hello all, I have noticed this is a very old topic, but just wondering if you had any longer term detrimental effects using unleaded? My 120 has recently started blue smoking, I’m worried about it and wondered if it’s because I’ve been putting unleaded in with redex engine cleaner and I should have been putting redex lead replacement in instead. Hope it’s nothing more serious!. cheers Bradley

Skoda 120L FIVE Estelle-original tyres?
bradley.mcmullan replied to bradley.mcmullan's topic in RWD Skodas and historics
Hiya Peter, I got 5 Barum tyres in the end, from Just Tyres in Wakefield, £45 each, fitted and balanced.. Proper Czech tyres like you say BUT I noticed it now says “Made In Romania” on the wall! hahaha-bit sad about that, wonder if the Barum factory in Zlin CZ is still working.. -

Hiya, thank you for that, I have found some Barum 165/80/13 online at £48 each so they should look grand :-) -
Hey all, does anybody know what type of tyre the 120L was fitted with originally? The car has alloy wheels and a mismatch of tyres at the moment-165/80/13-can you help? Cheers

That’s an amazing find, I hope you have managed to get the jobs done on the car and used it as you had hoped a couple of times a week :-)

Hey all, I bought a little Felicia for a family pool car last month and it’s passed mot and been taxed, now for insurance but it’s proving an obscenely costly situation, having ridiculous quotes coming back no matter which way I try to do it.. Has anybody and ideas why they might be so much to insure? Am I doing something wrong? I have just done a compare for an Estelle which is for sale on net just out of curiosity it came back much more reasonable... cheers all

Hiya All, I recently acquired a lovely little Felicia (pic attached) for £207, which has passed its mot this week! Cheap motoring or what! Anyway, the airbox is completely missing from the top of the engine, so the car has no air filter at all.. Struggling to source the correct airbox for it, can anyone advise? It’s a 1.3 petrol, V687LKM, now located near Leeds. Cheers :-)

I am actually fed up of "clever ****" motorists flashing their headlamps at me when they drive past kind of insinuating that I am a chav driving round with my fog lights on all the time!!...

Deaths on unmanned rail crossings
bradley.mcmullan replied to Macdemon's topic in The Roadside Hotel
Not an ounce of sympathy what so ever for anybody who is killed or injured while misusing a level crossing or foot crossing. There are enough warnings in place and people ought to take responsibility for their own safety..
