This sounds exactly like the issue I have at the moment. Was dead on the drive, AA reported no communication from a module, but of Skoda had to start from scratch.... Currently had a fuel pump, start stop button, now some chafed wiring and plugs on the Steering column module and awaiting approval for them to order the module from Skoda. Good thing its a warranty repair. Certainly not holding much hope out on the fact yours was a loose wire somewhere.
