  1. I’ll take a look at the OEM ones. Drop a pic on when you’ve cleaned them up 👍
  2. This is a job I’ve been preparing for myself as it does seem unbelievably common. Looking at the state of the block on yours @Paulcap I think it’s been weeping for quite some time. I haven’t looked at the price of genuine replacement pumps but these are available for a pretty reasonable price online https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/275413922020?mkcid=16&mkevt=1&mkrid=711-127632-2357-0&ssspo=6NlGCo6fS6e&sssrc=4429486&ssuid=M0-LUKmxS1q&var=&widget_ver=artemis&media=COPY The question would be are these of comparable quality to OEM? But for the price, I’d be inclined to replace yours for piece of mind. Small wire brush attachment for a drill should clean up your block sufficiently 🤞🏻
  3. Whoops, could a moderator please move to Superb 3 forum? Been a long day 😴
  4. Well, just got home in Staffordshire after 12 days holiday in France. I never saw another 280 in 1500 miles apart from as we arrived at the duty free car park in Calais we literally both pulled up to passport control at the same time. I simply had to pull up alongside. My wife got a little thumbs up while I was stocking up on duty free.
  5. I’ve had my 280 for just short of 4 weeks now and she is sat outside a chalet in the Vendee’ while we take a 2 week break. Never missed a beat and has returned over 35mpg while loaded to the parcel shelf.
  6. 🤣 beautifully put, I don my cap and tip it to that 🤣 The Windy bit comes from my surname Millar, the rest added by friends over time but have been known to carry a trouser note tone perfect on occasions.
  7. Just a quick introduction, I’m due to pick up my first Skoda on Sunday afternoon. A 66 plate Superb tsi 4x4 estate, full dealer service history and although on just over 103000 miles, drives absolutely beautifully. It really has been looked after very well. Ironically, my first ever job was at Lea Hall motors (Skoda, Yamaha and Honda dealer) in Staffordshire as a trainee mechanic, in 1985 a Skoda was a very different car to what I drove last Sunday. I’m sure I’ll be asking plenty of questions in the next couple of weeks and hopefully over time, I’ll be able to contribute too.
