Enyaq Nightmare
I'm afraid in England we don't have any mechanics who know anything about EVs

Enyaq Nightmare
Skoda Enyaq 85X nightmare. Brand new in June 24. I couldn't drive it until late June, early July but instantly had problems charging it up at home. The only way to charge it was drive 14 miles to our nearest "fast" charge machine at a McDonalds. After 700 miles various warnings came up on the dash but the last one said main motor warning take straight to workshop. I had the car picked up by the RAC and take it to the supplying garage. They couldn't work on it so after 3 weeks it was taken 75 miles to a garage that can work on EVs. After another 2 weeks I was told the car was ready to be picked up. When I arrived no one knew what had been done to the car but someone from the workshop said they couldn't find anything wrong with it. I started transferring my bits and pieces over into the car and noticed one of the rear wheels had been had been badly damaged and the tyre cut through to the strands. The garage denied all knowledge of the damage and using the car but it had done many more miles than it had before it left me. After having a new tyre and wheel repair done I started to use the car again. Lo and behold within a thousand miles it broke down with a flat battery (12V). This time the RAC recovered it and took it to another garage 60 miles away. They didn't know what was wrong with it but fitted a new battery and a JX1 module. I thought a JX1 module was to do with the connections between the main battery and main motors but I must be wrong. Anyway it was delivered back to me after a few weeks and I managed to do nearly 1700 miles before it broke down again with a flat 12v battery and handbrake not working and passenger seat not heating and various other warning lights flashing on. It's got to the stage after the car being away for 3 months or more when I get it back I know it will break down again. EVs are all well and good but the world isn't ready for them yet. I would say its going to take at least another 20 years before the infrastructure is ready and at least 25 years before we are going to have the skilled people to work on them

GREETINGS
Hi It's an 85X. The interior seemed very dark so I had a sunroof put in which helps a bit but the roof doesn't open very far back at all which is a shame. Also went for the pack that included the heads up display on the windscreen which is good and a taw bar. I would have liked the other pack they do but the cost was to much.

GREETINGS
Hi All I have just joined the forum so I can get an idea of other peoples views of my Skoda and what it will do. The wife has had a 2011 Fabia for 6 years and touch wood it is good as gold and never let her down. That reminds me we have never had it serviced so maybe I best get it done before it lets her down! My memories of Skoda are the old 120 which never sounded too healthy to me. Well they have come on a bit as I have just taken delivery of an Enyaq. First impressions are very good with the build quality being OK. First job to do is fix in the dash cam, then a boot liner/cover. Then take it out for a spin and see how many miles to a charge it will it do. I am thinking about 100 miles less than all the figures quoted by Skoda!
