  1. Injector well had a hairline crack. Had to use crack detector to find it. Just got rid of the car in the end. I replaced everything I could within a reasonable price bracket. But a cylinder head wasn't worth what the car is worth.
  2. The bolts were replaced. Where that bolt goes into. Them threads are stretched
  3. I found a potential problem. The thread for the injector bolts have stretched causing them to loosen overtime! And the rocker cover gasket had a tear. Will be fitting x2 helicoils and replacing the gasket. Fingers crossed it fixes the issue!
  4. Hi all I'm a new user on this site as you guys seem to have a wealth of information. I have a 62 plate Skoda rapid 1.6tdi. To cut a long story short, I had some injector issues (snapped injector bolt) which also cracked the rocker cover. I have since replaced the rocker cover, reseated the injectors (used a seat cutter to ensure a good clean fit) replaced all O-rings/copper washers. Everything was fine until a few days ago when i started smelling exhaust fumes in the cabin. On closer inspection the fumes appear to be coming out of the rocker cover by the fuel rail. Its clearly visible. Any advice on where to go with this? I've replaced all the injector components (copper sealing washer and O-rings) again and the rocker cover gasket to no avail. No fumes are leaking from the injector seals. Any help is very much greatly appreciated!
