Oil Separator, 1.4TSI CHPA EA211
Hi there, I was told my Skoda main dealer a few weeks back that I had an Oil Separator leak and they quoted me north of £400 for the job. It is a minor leak but I would still like to get it sorted. I can't seem to find very much information on it at all though online, so asking here for any help please. Been told by some people that a minor leak can just be left, online some sources say you lose pressure etc. Thanks for any help!

1.4TSI (CHPA) 2013 DM KEITH QUOTE
Thanks for the advice. Halfords offer a free brake diagnosis which I am doing tomorrow. As for the oil leak my oil level has never dropped in my 6 months of ownership but I'm just trying to find how I can get the part replaced for cheap mainly. It doesn't seem like a bad leak but I'm no mechanic. Will continue to research it

1.4TSI (CHPA) 2013 DM KEITH QUOTE
Just got the car back from dealer. Unfortunately they only resolved the O2 EML. No mention of the oil leak, although I don't believe it's a major leak. I wouldn't have noticed anything had I not got the EML for the O2 sensor but now I am aware of the leak. Will likely just monitor my oil level for now until I learn more about it.

Thanks, I am thinking the exact same thing at this point. Use the warranty for what I can then take the other jobs elsewhere

yeah the engine light is EML (Engine Management Light) so I believe anyway. The cause for the light is the O2 Sensor

1.4TSI (CHPA) 2013 DM KEITH QUOTE
Hi guys, would appreciate some help on this: Long story short, I bought my Octavia MK3 1.4tsi in August 2024 (with 65000 miles) from a used car dealer under DM Keith. This came with a 1 year warranty (so my car is still under warranty). I got a check engine light so took it to DM Keith to look at and they've brought up a bunch of issues with a hefty cost. I am not sure as of yet what will be covered by warranty and what won't but just curious as to if this is foreshadowing an expensive ownership for me. The car is on roughly 70,000 miles. Any help or advice on the issues listed would be much appreciated as some of the prices seem completely unreasonable. Thank you for reading.

Tips on how to make my Pre-Facelift Mk3 Octavia look better?
Thank you for the response! Just a few questions if you don't mind helping; how do I find out about extra functionality in my car, and what type of minor coding tweaks would I need if I fitted new bulbs? Only really planning on upgrading my headlights I think. Thanks.

I'm just replying to try get notifications on this post. Bought my 1.4tsi ( 140ps, CHPA EA211 ) Mk3 Octavia just yesterday and I made a post for things to look out for in case you want to check the replies I got. They seem to be reliable from what I've researched. Main thing is the cambelt and waterpump replacement I believe. The engine is super smooth and quiet, really nice driving experience in my opinion. Hoping this engine will last me a long time!

Buying my first Octavia
Hi there, as the title says I’m buying my first Skoda (and car in general) tomorrow. It’s a Mk3 Octavia 1.4tsi 2013 at 64k miles, 1 owner. The dealership threw in a cambelt replacement and water pump replacement in the price so they’re checked off, but just wanting to know what else to look out for with this car. Thanks everyone! threw in*
