  1. Hi all, My Škoda Superb 2017, started having “Emergency call restricted, visit Workshop” pop up. SOS light is always green and calls through to emergency without issue. There doesn’t seem to be any apparent fault yet this warning comes up on every start. Hoping a firmware update will fix it, I am on MHI2_ER_SKG13_P4514. Are there any updates? Thanks
  2. UPDATE: Mechatronic TCU fault, new mechatronic required. £2500 fitted. Joy!
  3. Will see what the local VAG indy diagnose it as, most likely to be mechatronic fault. These guys offer a lifetime warranty on mechatronic repairs, so they must be confident in their work! https://www.ecutesting.com/common-faults/volkswagen/dq381-mechatronic-causing-tiguan-dsg-gearbox-problems/
  4. UPDATE: After nearly a week and approx 750 miles, the fault is back. Gearbox in emergency mode. Lost all even gears. Booked in with the local VAG specialist. After turning engine off and back on, it’s like nothing ever happened again, hope they find something!
  5. Thanks for the update. I have done around 500 miles since the error came up, only happened once. I’ll keep this thread updated!
  6. The error came up once and hasn’t come back since?
  7. Thanks guys. Just been out in it and got it up to temp. Didn’t put a foot wrong. Bloody cars!
  8. 2.0 TDI, 110k miles. DSG service at 80k. Never had an issue with gears shifting, always been smooth.
  9. Hi all, 67 plate DSG7. Gpot to about 200 yards of being home and “gearbox in emergency mode: no reverse gear” flashed up, and at the same time “oil change service in 1200 miles”. Only appeared to have 1st gear, wouldn’t shift up but with only a short distance to home, it probably wouldn’t have gone above 2nd anyway. Switched off and left for 5 mins, switched back on and all ok again, with only the “service” message staying. A bit strange how both messages came on at the exact same time. Anyone had similar? Praying it’s just a glitch, but not confident for driving it too far now! Thanks
  10. Hi all, Have a P2453 DPF sensor malfunction, and a P154B DPF sensor faulty on my 2.0 TDI Superb. Recently had a DPF clean and the technician confirmed the electrical reading and actual reading (pipe off) are loads different. DPF not knowing when to regenerate so starting to clog. Seeing as the part is easy to replace myself, does anyone in the Bristol area have VCDS or similar to adapt the new sensor. Willing to pay, but saving me a trip to a garage for extra ££! Thanks in advance!
  11. Thanks for the info. Do you have the egr cooler bypass remap?
  12. I don’t think it’s an EGR delete as the EGR isn’t being blanked off. From what I can tell, it’s just a remap that tells the ECU to ignore the temperature on the output of the EGR cooler. Just wondering if the higher temperature gases being passed through would cause a problem as they obviously aren’t being cooled enough.
  13. Cool thanks. I came across this, anyone know if bypassing the egr cooler would cause any issues further down the line?
  14. Hi, did you get this sorted?
  15. Hi, Have scrolled this forum and various others but haven’t come across anything definitive. Skoda Superb 2.0TDI with 105,000 miles. Do a lot of long motorway journeys. Recently had the EML come on a couple of times during long drives. Doesn’t appear to clear itself, unsure if car is attempting a re-gen, not sure how you tell? I have a basic OBD scanner which is giving me fault P2002. Having cleared the fault code with the scanner, after around a week of approx 500 miles the EML came back on with the same fault code, this time I left it and it doesn’t go out by itself. Is there anything I can check myself to narrow down the cause? My OBD scanner gives me some freeze frame data, not sure if this would help at all? Thanks in advance.
