  1. @Breezy_Pete Thank you so much for the fast reply! I'll try to order one of these.
  2. The car model is Škoda Octavia Mk3 (5E) 1.6 TDI 77 kW estate. The equipment level is "Style" - quite low level (Bolero, no heated seats). I've looked up on the eBay and found units from Continental, Hella and Bosch. Some part numbers I found: 5Q0937084AQ 5Q0937086BP 1K0937084H Can I use a different part number from the original? Which part numbers are interchangeable (compatible)?
  3. @ApertureS Hello! I saw you were able to find the exact BCM part number from VIN number. I would like to buy a used BCM online and take it to a car electric workshop so they can immediately replace the unit if needed. They said they can reprogram it and match with the keys but they cannot buy it for me or repair the existing one. The problems started a few years ago when the wireless locking stopped working and the key opens the door only mechanically. Only when the ignition is on, the central locking starts working on the button press. The small display is dim though. Then if I exit the car, I can centrally lock and unlock the car using the key in the door lock, but only for a few minutes. Then it goes to a deep sleep again and only mechanical lock works. The local Škoda dealer workshop told me that the BCM needs to be replaced, I was reluctant to have it repaired because it was so expensive. But recently my family members reported occasional problems with engine stop 2 seconds after ignition and that looks like it stops recognizing the key, so it made it more urgent to me. The official Škoda dealer would charge 755€ fro the BCM unit, so I'm looking for other options. Could you please tell me which BCM part number is in my car? The VIN is TMBJG7NE9F0233865. Thanks!
