The biting point is around halfway through the pedal travel, perhaps slightly lower, closer to the floor. With the clutch pedal fully depressed and a gear engaged, the car doesn’t try to move at all. The clutch doesn’t slip under load either. Even when driving uphill in a high gear, the engine revs drop rather than the clutch slipping. With the engine switched off, all gears engage more easily, even without pressing the clutch pedal. However, I can still feel the mechanical engagement of each gear through the gear lever, almost as if I can feel the gears engaging. With the engine running, shifting is noticeably harder, especially when downshifting. I’ve already adjusted the gear linkage following a tutorial, but unfortunately it hasn’t solved the problem. Personally, I would suspect the plastic components in the gear linkage, the gearbox oil level or condition, or even worn synchronisers before blaming the clutch. Of course, I could be wrong, but the clutch itself seems to be working fine to me. What do you think?

Hi everyone! I have a 2013 Skoda Octavia III 1.6 TDI 105 PS (CLHA), with a 5-speed manual gearbox and around 250,000 km. The engine was originally remapped from 105 to 155 PS, and the exhaust system has since been modified and emptied out. I estimate it might now produce around 170 PS, although this hasn’t been confirmed on a dyno. Recently, I’ve started having problems selecting gears, especially when downshifting into 4th, 3rd and 2nd. Sometimes it feels as if the gear lever hits a mechanical stop, and I have to apply more pressure than normal to engage the gear. Rev-matching or giving the throttle a quick blip sometimes helps. I’ve also noticed that 5th gear can be difficult to engage, and the lever doesn’t always seem to return smoothly from the 5th gear position. However, the lever seems to return to the centre normally from the other positions. The clutch doesn’t slip, and gear selection doesn’t seem to improve significantly with the clutch pedal fully depressed. The problems appeared after someone else drove the car quite aggressively, including some hard acceleration and rough gear changes. I’ve already adjusted the gear selector cables following an online tutorial, but unfortunately the problem persists. I’m wondering whether this could be caused by worn gearbox components, damaged synchronisers, a clutch issue, or something else. Has anyone experienced similar symptoms with this 5-speed gearbox? I’m also planning to check the gearbox oil level. Any advice or experiences would be greatly appreciated! Thanks in advance!

Hi everyone! I’m also interested in converting my Octavia III 1.6 TDI from a 5-speed to a 6-speed manual gearbox. Mine is a 2013 1.6 TDI CLHA, originally 105 hp. It has been remapped with an additional 50 hp (around 155 hp in total), and the DPF has also been removed. I bought it in 2021 for €2,900 with 170,000 km on the clock. It now has around 250,000 km. Recently, I’ve been having problems with the gearbox, especially when downshifting. Fourth, third and second gears are all becoming very difficult to engage. As far as I can tell, the clutch isn’t slipping and doesn’t seem to be in particularly bad condition. If the gearbox itself turns out to be the problem, I’d rather replace it with a compatible 6-speed gearbox instead of fitting another 5-speed one. My main goal would be to reduce engine RPM at motorway speeds, improve fuel economy and make better use of the extra power. Does anyone know which 6-speed gearbox would be the most compatible with my CLHA engine? I’d also like to know: Would I need anything else apart from the gearbox and gear selector/linkage? Can I keep my original driveshafts, gearbox mounts, clutch and flywheel? Would any ECU coding or other software changes be necessary? Has anyone actually completed this conversion on a front-wheel-drive 1.6 TDI? I’d really appreciate any advice, especially from anyone who has already done this conversion. Thanks in advance!

Hi I installed rear usb from Aliexpress (following one tutorial on this forum) but it is not QC3 and my iphone it consumes more battery than it charges when Im using wireless CarPlay. Both pipes on heater matrix were hot, very hot. I couldn't touch them for more of two seconds. Do you think heater matrix could been start to blocked. I readed in a forum that when heater natrix is starting to be blocked left side air doesnt heat and few weeks later right side air neither. timing belt, coolant pump were changed one month ago. also coolant and coolant tank (original G13) were changed for a new ones (G12)

Perhaps there are something broken inside the flap of numer 9 servomotor (left temperature) I setted up the temperature at 16º and 28º when coolant was 90º. When climatronic was 16 there were diference between right and left side, but when was 18 there were 10º of difference (remember footweel vent temp sensor is on the left side) warm air: Cold air: What happen if I reset values on Basic settings button? Maybe that servomotor (v158) is not connected to the flap. As you say as a result of the accident because for car reparation I didnt touch anything near the servomotor. I will check it the day after tomorrow.

I cleared vcds error and tried the instructions of this video for three times but only passager side blowers blow warm air. Drivers side blowers blow cold air. 26º are setup in two sides 😞 I don't know what more can I do
