  1. So @whippersnapper yours is just like mine but I've not got electric programable seats! Lol Love the car but Skoda need to sort all these niggles out and not charge for software updates on a 4 year old car, well any car tbh. Hope you enjoy your new car mate 👍🏽
  2. I had an indepth discussion with [email protected] and eventually I was told that there was a software update that woyld correct this issue and I would have to book it in at a Skoda dealer and then inform [email protected] of the date and dealer name so they could contact them with the required information/software update required. But unfortunately it was going to cost me £280 for the privilege! To say I was miffed at this was an under statement! Whats to stop them doubg 2 updates a year a trying to chrge me nearly £600 for it? 🤷🏾‍♂️ And just so I can use an app on my phone and to be a user on my own car, thanks but no thanks. Good luck @pingpongpete1 on a brand new car, they need do better 🙏🏽
  3. Hi @llewis6996 Thats great 🙌🏾 please let us know how it goes as yours was quite severe in both directions. Tbh mine has barely done it lately and without a garage willing to definitely say that mine is the steering rack then I'm scuppered for a possibe warranty claim 😒 I could take it to Mitchells Skoda and pay for diagnostic but if it doesn't do it for them, like the last VAG specialist then I'm £120 out of pocket and still in the same position I am now 😢
  4. Ditto @LTWJ, in the past week mine hasn't done it at all 🤷🏾‍♂️ I think that it could be a characteristic of the LSD, but only some cars do it and some don't. Like I said previously, there are other forums that I have found, for others car makes, that also do this. So for me, I am just going to monitor it to see if it gets any worse and go from there, as its only very slow speed that it does it. I hope it doesn't get any worse for all of us and like I was told that the Skoda Mastertech said 'yeah some of them do it'!!!
  5. Hi @LTWJ did they at least see the issue? Did it do it for them? TBH I have no idea, I know that its apparent on the VRS, A4 and also on the Golf R's and Master Techs for both Skoda and Audi say 'some do it' I'm starting to think that its something to do with the DSG gearbox/LSD in the way it handles low speed tight turns, as its very seldom it does it (in my case anyway) I did see a thread on here where the head office told a dealer to change the DSG gearbox but the bloke never replied to say if that fixed the problem, if it is a problem and not a characteristic 🤷🏾‍♂️😔
  6. Hi, anyone fix this issue? My 2020 mk4 VRS used to read all the names in my call log and now half of them are just numbers 🤷🏾‍♂️ but if you search contacts they are all there with names!!! The longer I have the car the more issues I seem to find with it, which is a shame as I love the car 😞
  7. Ah thats good then. I bought an RAC 12 months with mine and that is also my fear, that if I don't sort it within the warranty period I'll be lumbered with a huge bill, if it was the gearbox then I'm not sure thats covered on my warranty! And thats due a service at 40k but that will be about this time next year for me as I only do about 5-600 miles a month and I'm currently on about 32.3k. Part of me thinks that as its just very low speed and it doesnt do it all the time (in my case) that its not really an issue because it never happens when driving above crawling speed.
  8. @llewis6996 is that 3 yrs warranty from new or the warranty from when you bought it? Glad we can rule out the tyre theory mate. I think it was further up here that Skoda saud they were replacing the gearbox on someones but they never reposted to say if that cured it or not. My mate has a 21 plate VRS estate and his doesnt do it at all 🤷🏾‍♂️ Unfortunately I'm stuck in limbo now as the garage I bought mine off has just said monitor it to see it it gets worse and a Skoda Mastertech has said 'they do do that'!!! 🙄😒🤣 Oh, I have another mate who is an Audi Mastertech and he said that our engine is the same as the S3, so I asked if they have this issue with them, he said no BUT the A4's do it also!!!! He drove one from the compound to the workshop and that did it, he said the same, that its the gearbox or diff having a bit of a wobble!! Now get this, a boss in work has the Golf R and his does it also!!! And a mate of a mate has a Golf R and he said his did it pulling off his drive the other morning!!!! I'm starting to think it might be characteristic of some, ya know 🤷🏾‍♂️ Let me know what you think of the Conti Sport 7s please
  9. Well, it when to the VAG specialist and it didn't do it for them!!! 🤦🏾‍♂️ The rang Skoda Support and they hadnt heard of it! And they then rang a Skoda Mastertech who apparently is the guy to go to and he said............ Some of them do this! It can be a characteristic of the LSD! The guy didn't want to tell me this but as its been logged as an issue within my warranty then keep an eye on it incase it gets worse. As I drove out of the carpark, the little **** did it! So I went and got him and he got in with me and we drove around the carpark! It did do it but it was very slight. Now I do have 2 different brand tyres on the front (bought like that and still have a decent amount of tread on them) and some I have talked to say thats the problem, I am not having that, now I haven't checked the tread difference on each tyre, I will when it stops lashing it down! Now I could believe that if that was a massive difference believe that could possibly cause it but I would have thought that in the design of the LSD it would have accoounted for the fact that tyres wear at different rates. Saying that, on some 4WD cars you HAVE to change all 4 tyres at the same time because if you dont then it upsets the 4WD LSDs!! Unfortunately I dont have a spare £350ish to replace the front tyres so when they need replacing I'll put the back 2 on the front and put news on the back and I'll report back. Sorry for waffling on a bit guys! 🤦🏾‍♂️🤣
  10. **Update** I connected my car to my house wifi and....... nada, stiil the same message, 'sorry, unable to load your settings'! I tried a few times with the same result. Unfortunately I am not willing to pay £140 for Skoda to 'diagnose' the problem and then to charge me to re-code both my keys just so I can access my car through the app 🤷🏾‍♂️😔
  11. @campbell24 I will try the 'cheaper' option 1st of the home Wifi but as mine is out of warranty, god only nos how much they will charge for both keys to be recoded!! But thank you 😊
  12. Hi @Neily03 Brilliant, thank you 😊 Is the Wifi setting in one of the menus? I've not seen that anywhere yet. Just looked at the online manual and found it!! I'll try tonight, watch this space!! 🙌🏾
  13. Yo guys, I also have this issue on a 2020 mk4 VRS! I emailed Skoda Support and they suggested a factory reset on the infotainment system, uninstall the app, reinstall the app, delete my car, readd my car, stand on one leg, all of which did **** all! They then said book it in with a local Skoda dealer and let them know who it was and when it was and they would contact them to provide what needs to be done. My local Skoda dealer wants £140 to look at the issue before anything is done!!! As far as I can see, all my software is up to date bar my sat nav data base (19.7) I've had the car 10 weeks and I'm thinking that I dont need the extra cost to be a user/primary user if all it enables you to do is use the app and online shop 🤷🏾‍♂️
  14. The service schedule says 30k for the VAQ and the filters definitely need cleaning, so I have read. Apparently my 'final drive' service was carried out at 22.6k, its done just over 31k now. There is a VAG specialist near me, I will pop and see them to see if they can offer any advice on this. The Electronic Power Steering rack is about 2k new!!!!
  15. I read on other forums (different makes) that other cars do it and its a trait of the LSD but I was hoping for confirmation of this but I never got it. Its not been wet or leafy when its occured and like I said, its not all the time 🤷🏾‍♂️
