  1. Just re rear your original message and spotted you think the new seat is a different design... Not sure if the covers I recommended will fit as my Scala is 23 plate
  2. I have these for the front: https://www.amazon.co.uk/ZATOOTO-Universal-Anti-Slip-Breathable-Comfortable/dp/B09Z31FWVW And this for the rear: https://www.amazon.co.uk/ZATOOTO-Waterproof-Protector-Comfortable-ZD-ZXP-03H/dp/B0BK845C9F Works pretty well for covering the seat bottom in my Scala. I'll try and take some photos if interested. I wasn't looking for something that covered the back as well so do the job.

I suppose depends on the type of driving and your location. I'm in the west of the UK and I find the roads dirty most of the time from the rain. Then we also go camping. The shape of the car means that all that muck goes up the sides behind the rear wheels (I don't have them at the front, only the rear). Why don't they come as standard? Cost saving I suspect.

Apologies for the delayed response - didn't spot your message until now. I agree that the instructions are pretty unclear. Fitting these should take about half an hour but because of the instructions it took two goes totalling two hours! No drilling required. I'm not near the car right now but from memory, you have to remove some of the screws that are already on the car so that you can slot the metal clip behind some plastic covering (also on the car already) - there is a little valley around a predrilled hole in the metal work where the clip goes.. I found that the easiest way to get the right angle to be able to slot it on was to lie on the floor approaching the vehicle from the back. Hope that helps.
  5. So I've finally got there. (3 months later) The method that seems to work pretty much all of the time is: 1. Lift clutch to bite with a little gas only 2. As you lift it further to fully lifted you need to push gas down about 2/3s of the way. If you get the timing right this won't over rev the engine. Revs should peak about 2000 with clutch fully lifted. What I did realise is that it is a small engine driving a biggish car. It is not under powered but you do need to be unafraid of pushing the gas pedal. With timing, this doesn't over rev. I now feel happy and confident with this car ☺️
  6. Thanks. I know it might sound silly but could you clarify what you mean by burn the clutch? One thing I have found that helps is to get going in first but before fully lifting the clutch, depress it again and go into second. This is what the car seems to wants me to do anyway because if I fully lift the clutch olin first it complains and acceleration slows down. Is doing this with the clutch ok though?
  7. Ah, thanks. Thought I'd seen it somewhere on here but looking under wrong car. Hadn't thought just to Google search 🙄😊
  8. Hello, I think this has been brought up here before but can't find it... Got our Scala two months ago, 2nd hand from a Skoda dealer - still got a couple of years of warranty. From day one the clutch was quite different from the Rapid we had before and thought we'd just get used to it. On the whole we have and really like the car. Where we are still struggling is starting off. It's very difficult to start smoothly and reliably in first gear. Tried high revs, low revs, feathering clutch more. It just wants to have a massive dip in revs and drop in speed once the clutch is fully up in first gear and thus kangaroos frequently. I thought I just needed to practise but have been to an empty car park and it still seems very temperamental. I've read elsewhere that there was a problem with some of the sensors in the catalytic converter but the thread I was reading was from 2019 and so can't believe it is still the same issue... anyone got any ideas? I'm not new to driving, been driving manuals for over 20 years.
  9. Ok. Well at least it hasn't got any worse. I'll just try to get used to it! Thanks for your super quick replies!
  10. Mine is September 2023. On 13,500miles so about 21,000km. We got it 2nd hand from Skoda dealer about a month ago. Love the car, just this is slightly odd. I don't remember my Rapid being the same before - though that wasn't three cylinder. Has it got any worse in the past 6 months? Sounds like it hasn't which is comforting. Have you just accepted that it is how the car is?
  11. Any update on this Medley? My car (Scala same engine spec) also has slight vibration on clutch and trying to work out if same thing.
  12. Hello everyone. Wife and I been driving Skoda's for a number of years. Current car is a Scala 1.0 TSI 110PS. Liking it so far!
