Hi @bigjohn thanks for the suggestions. No other devices connected via other methods The iPhone 16 does not work. Callers cannot hear me speaking on my wife's 16. I know I'm on IOS but can you elaborate on the setting you found that conflicted with your car's audio performance?

It's been a few months and the lack of audio on carplay phone calls continues to sour my experience with this car. I've bought 2 carplay wireless adaptors and the most recent has just died. SO once more I'm looking for solutions. Has anyone any experience with Skoda Fabia 2014-2021 - Premium Head Unit Upgrade Kit: Radio Infotainm – Brummstadt Or found a bullet proof wireless adaptor. My wife and I now share the Fabia MkIII. She uses an iPhone 16 and I had to switch back to my iPhone 12 so on the wired connection we can't talk on a call. Appreciate any help, assuming that things have changed in the last 9 months. Thank you.

Yes. It appears to be phone specific. IPhone SE2 with the latest firmware works fine. IPhone XS works fine with the latest firmware IPhone 12 suffers the problem you describe iPhone 16 suffers the problem you describe All iPhones are using the same latest firmware from Apple. The headunit was updated to the 8755 firmware you may see mentioned elsewhere on the forums. I've worked with Skoda, Apple, a car audio specialist here in Perth and @pab567 and the result was the same. At the moment I use the XS and the iPhone 12 I bought sits in the drawer gathering dust. This community has been great but we all had to accept defeat. Other options I've considered Sell the car and buy one that just works - too expensive Change out the swing radio - my installer can't find a suitable mount or headunit that retains the car functions Use a wireless adaptor - bought one - it stopped working after a month Continue to use the XS iPhone - my current solution Car Skoda Fabia III from early 2020

@pab567 thank you. I've updated my infotainment unit to 8755. Interestingly the iPhone 12 still refuses to operate correctly (no outgoing audio on phone call). I'll continue to use the XS that I have access to. I have no idea why this is happening but I'm very grateful for your help.

iPhone SE2 connected via USB works great. iPhone XS connected via USB works great. iPhone 12 connected via USB mostly works except: I can hear incoming callers loud and clear but they cannot hear me. I just bought the iPhone 12 as an upgrade and I'm stuck. Should I replace the radio and if so with what? Thanks

Long time lurker thought I should join. I've had my Fabia since 2020 and have covered 130000km. Collected one Kangaroo resulting in $5k damages. Great car.
