  1. Which oil did you use when you changed the oil? I had a similar gearbox issue so I replaced the gearbox oil at 175k miles with Fuchs Titan Sintofluid SAE 75W80 GL-4 Manual Transmission Fluid and it improved a lot. I have read that some gearbox oils do not work well in these gearboxes. Have you reset the gearbox linkages? It's a relatively quick task and can help if you have worn or stretched cables. https://www.briskoda.net/forums/topic/388735-gear-linkage-adjustment/ The other option is that the synchromeshes are going, which is unusual and a potentially expensive issue.
  2. Hello wise ones! I have a 2015 Octavia Scout with a CRMB engine. After a recent cam belt change, I started getting fault: P242C00 Exhaust Gas Temperature (EGT) Sensor Circuit Low for Bank 1, Sensor 3 (static) I have identified the sensor location as right above the cam shaft belt and if I give the wires a wiggle at the sensor, I can sometimes get the fault to clear. I know that it was removed and replaced as part of the cam belt replacement process, to make room to remove the cam belt cover. I cannot prove that it was the mechanic that caused it, so I just want to replace it. The problem is that I don't know the right part number and there seem to be a number of possible variants. I can't see a part number on the exposed part of the sensor (see photos). Can anyone give me the right part number and a good parts place to get one?
  3. Hi! Skoda Octavia Scout 2.0 diesel 2015 - Standard spec as far as I know. 167k miles.
