Hi, My 1.6 tdi greenline broke down last august whilst we were on holiday. Called out the RAC who said that it was a fuelling issue and that the pump and pump control module were likely failing. As it happens, they then checked fuses and found that the fuse was blown - replaced it and car started. I've had no problem since but always had, in the back of my mind, the thought that I must replace the pump and module. A week or so back the car broke down again and wouldn't start OBD reader pointed to fuel pump. The pump was making an unusual clicking noise so i swapped it out for a new one only to find that now the pump wasn't activating at all. Called RAC, they couldn't connect with the pump to activate it through their software so they recovered me to my local mechanic. He has had the same problem and not been able to get anything from the pump with his diagnostic gear. All the time I'm thinking - control unit. My mechanic is snowed under and can't give it his time so I'm thinking of changing it myself. Now comes a problem... How in hell do you get it out? It's been put in the most inaccessible location possible on the front of the tank and under the seat. I understand that there's a clip that you lift up and pull the unit out but how are you supposed to get two hands in there? I'm also looking at the unit and I can only find it on Amazon and I'm not sure if it's the correct one. Amazon says it is but I need some clarification before ordering it. Any help appreciated both on whether this is correct and also how to get it out. Many thanks in advance.

Hi, I've purchased a 2014 Octavia Greenline III 1.6TDi in June with 96,000 miles on it and have been inundated with problems since. After a few days - the alarm developed a fault and kept triggering . (warranty sorted this) On my first long journey the metal coolant pipe leading into the back of the engine burst due to corrosion emptying the coolant all over the road (warranty sorted this) My number plate warning comes on intermittently even though the light is working. My reverse sensor is very temperamental and when it does come on it tells me I'm about to crash when there's nothing there. My DAB radio signal is always cutting out. My window regulator has just died (warranty sorting this) My engine management light is on giving these codes:P047100 and P200200 DPF / Exhaust pressure sensor. My last car was a used 2012 Honda CRV which gave us many years of trouble-free motoring and at the moment I'm missing it. Have I bought a hunk of junk? I was under the impression that Skodas were reliable. Advice please.
